CBS Takes a Bite Out of Friday September 29, 2007 Alex O'Loughlin, 'Moonlight'LOS ANGELES -- Fast National ratings for Friday, September 28, 2007 A night of new drama guaranteed CBS the top spot on Friday, averaging a 5.8 rating/11 share for the night, just ahead of NBC's 5.6/10. ABC came in a distant third with a 3.8/7, followed by The CW's 2.9/5 and FOX's 2.4/5. CBS also won the 18-to-49 demo race with a 2.4/8, followed by NBC's 2.2/7, The CW's 1.6/6, ABC's 1.5/5 and FOX's 1.1/4. At 8 p.m., the season premiere of CBS' "Ghost Whisperer started things off with a 5.8/11, way ahead of NBC's "Deal or No Deal," 4.9/9. "Smarter Than a Fifth Grader" came in third with a 3.3/6. ABC went with a double dose of "Just for Laughs" and The CW gave over its night to the season premire of "Friday Night Smackdown." The premiere of CBS' much retooled vampire drama "Moonlight" tied at 9 p.m. with the first half of NBC's two-hour "Las Vegas" premiere with a 5.8/11. "20/20" mustered a 4.0/7 for ABC and The CW finished its evening in fourth place with the second hour of "Smackdown." Although it did better than "Nashville," FOX's encore airing of "K-Ville" only managed a 1.8/3 for FOX. The season premiere of CBS' "Numb3rs" at 10 p.m. tied with the second half of NBC's "Las Vegas" with a 6.1/11 each. ABC came in a distant third with "20/20," 4.8/9. I gotta critique my pal Melinda though, when that internet blog photographer came into the antique shop and they started talking about his Shakespeare quote Melinda (disappointedly) said the quote came from Henry IV but technically there is no Henry IV. The play was constructed and performed in two separate halves. Melinda should have said it was from Henry IV pt.1... Bolingbroke must have turned in his grave... |
