Ringo Starr was amongst the audience at a low-key show in Los Angeles yesterday as Paul McCartney continued his whistle-stop promo tour of the world.

The former Beatles were reunited at a gig in Amoeba Records in Hollywood, as Sir Macca aired tracks from his new album "Memory Almost Full".

The free concert attracted a crowd of 900 devotees, many of whom had camped out overnight to see the pop legend.

The concert was the latest in a series of shows in recent weeks in America and the UK, with McCartney again plundering his and The Beatles' back catalogue during the set.

"Dance Tonight" and "That Was Me" from "Memory Almost Full" were played, alongside classics such as "Get Back", "Hey Jude", "The Long And Winding Road" and "I've Got A Feeling".

Olivia Harrison, the widow of George Harrison, Jeff Lynne and actress Jennifer Love Hewitt joined Starr in the audience.

I'd heard about the concert and with poeple camping out for ages to see Paul, but I didn't know about Love seeing him there either. I wonder if she met him afterwards? He seems to be a really nice bloke, as well as being a huge singer/songwriter. Thanks for the info Jim.

I was shocked that Paul did a concert @ a local record store big stars usually charge the fans alot for concerts, great to hear Love was there. Thanks for the pics!

Anyone else suspect this surprise concert coinciding with Paris Hilton's CNN Interview was no actually no coincidence at all and a way for many smart LAers to prove that they don't give a damn about her. The thought that they wouldn't stay home and watch her on TV for free isn't far off from "not pissing on someone if they were on fire" LMAO!
