CBS Takes Rerun-Filled Friday ABC scores narrow demo win May 26, 2007 Diane Farr of 'Numb3rs'Fast National ratings for Friday, May 25, 2007 With Memorial Day weekend underway, the networks loaded up mostly on reruns Friday, and CBS came out on top of a quiet night in the ratings. CBS averaged a 4.4 rating/9 share in primetime, good enough to beat NBC, 4.0/8, for the top spot. ABC finished third at 3.7/7. The CW's 2.4/5 edged FOX's 2.3/4 for fourth place. ABC eked out a win in the adults 18-49 demographic with a 1.7 rating. NBC, 1.6, took second. CBS was third at 1.4, followed by The CW, 1.3, and FOX, 1.2. A "Ghost Whisperer" repeat, 4.0/8, gave CBS the lead at 8 p.m. A repeat of "1 vs. 100," 3.7/8, on NBC and "America's Funniest Home Videos" on ABC finished in a virtual tie for second. "Friday Night Smackdown!" put The CW in fourth, ahead of FOX's movie "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider," 2.0/4. "Close to Home" scored a 4.4/8 for CBS at 9 p.m., holding off a "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" rerun, 4.0/8, on NBC. "National Bingo Night" delivered a 3.6/6 for ABC. "Smackdown!" drew a 2.7/5 in its second hour, beating the conclusion of FOX's movie. At 10 p.m., a "Numb3rs" rerun earned a 4.7/9 for CBS to complete the Eye's sweep of the night. A "Law & Order" rerun posted a 4.3/8 for NBC, while "20/20" came in at 3.9/8 for ABC. Ratings information is taken from fast national data, which includes live and same-day DVR viewing.
