CBS Sweeps to Friday Win 'Numb3rs' stands as the night's top-rated program April 28, 2007 David Krumholtz on 'Numb3rs'Fast National ratings for Friday, April 27, 2007. The first Sunday of May sweeps was dominant for CBS, as the network won all three primetime hours and also led the key demographic. Overall, CBS averaged a 6.2 rating/12 share, far ahead of the 4.2/8 for second place ABC of NBC's 4.1/8 in third. FOX was fourth with a 3.16, followed closely by The CW's 2.7/5. Among adults 18-49, CBS' margin of victory was less, doing a 2.4 rating in the all-important demo, barely beating the 2.2 rating for ABC. FOX and NBC's 1.6 ratings followed, with the CW's 1.4 rating bringing up the rear. At 8 p.m., CBS kicked the night off with a 6.0/11 for "Ghost Whisperer." ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" encore and NBC's "Identity" posted identical 3.5/7 figures for the hour to tie for second. FOX followed with "House," while The CW's "Smackdown" was last with a 2.6/5. "Close to Home" delivered a 6.2/11 to give CBS the 9 p.m. hour, while NBC's finale of "Raines" and ABC's "Wife Swap" were tied again with a 3.8/7. FOX was next with a 3.0/5, though fewer people watched that network's "Bones" repeat than the slightly lower-rated wrestling on The CW. CBS finished strong with the 6.6/12 for "Numb3rs." ABC's "20/20" was second and NBC's "Law & Order" lagged with a 5.1/9. |
