| Lennon & Co ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | In the world of television, many deem the Friday niche as a “burial ground” for television shows that are in the verge of its last legs…but not for CBS’ Ghost Whisperer, which controls Friday night’s leadoff hour in the key ratings categories. In fact, the horror-themed drama has been positively earning ratings according to Nielsen. Ghost Whisperer is currently averaging more than 10 million viewers per episode in its second season, garnering a peak of 11.5 million for its Halloween installment in November. In addition to positive ratings on air, Ghost Whisperer has also been getting popular over the Internet. Leading the show is Jennifer Love Hewitt, actress best known for her inclusion on the show Party of Five and movies like I Know What You Did Last Summer. She plays the main character Melinda Gordon, who has the ability to communicate with earthbound spirits. Her goal is to help the spirits crossover to the other side by helping them explore and fulfill their unfinished business. The series also includes Jim Clancy, Melinda’s husband, portrayed by David Conrad, and Delia Banks, a real estate agent who now works with Melinda in her antique store, played by Camryn Manheim. Among the actors on the show, Hewitt has been very visible in supporting and promoting the series with her appearance at Comic Con West last summer. At the event, she distributed Ghost Whisperer White Noise CDs, which contains authentic ghost voices and generated ghost voices with embedded messages. Whether it’s the program’s actors, paranormal story lines, or heartbreaking drama, it’s very difficult to pinpoint what exactly has caused Ghost Whisperer’s success, as far as ratings are concerned. But one thing’s for sure; fans can take delight in a whole new season of Ghost Whisperer this coming fall. Meanwhile, avid viewers will just have to savor the remaining episodes of Season two every Friday at 8 pm ET/PT on CBS. SOURCE: http://www.buddytv.com/articles/ghos...live-5938.aspx |

Variety is a very good source. If you search at Variety there is no word about a third season whatsoever. At the Variety site they DO have this exact article, word for word, WITHOUT those final couple of sentences mentioning a third season. Buddytv is probably not being accurate.: http://www.variety.com/article/VR111...goryid=14&cs=1 We'll have to wait for some kind of official confirmation from CBS which is still supposedly in May. This is far from official, word MUST come from the network, CBS. Last edited by i love love; 04-24-2007 at 06:14 AM.. |
