Living snags 'Ghost Whisperer' from E4

By Neil Wilkes, Editor

Living has poached the rights to air supernatural drama Ghost Whisperer from E4.

The deal with BVITV gives Living the exclusive rights to air the second season of the show, which stars Jennifer Love-Hewitt as a medium, from the summer. The first season ran on E4 last year and drew an impressive average audience of 368,000 viewers. Disney-owned abc1 had second-run rights to the first season.

"We are delighted that Ghost Whisperer will have its home on Living," said Claudia Rosencrantz, director of programmes at Living. "It's sassy and spooky and exactly what our viewers want."

Sadly I think this could work the other way.

Less people in the UK will be able to see it now, people with Freeview can't pick up Living TV.

I sadly cannot watch i do not have Sky or cable. This happened with Charmed it was aired on Living TV and i had to wait about 2 yrs before channel 5 aired it. But i have downloaded most of this season anyway. I'll just wait for the DVD's to come out, or for another channel to air it. I'm one of many who are in my position.

To put this move in perspective for those in the USA.

This is like GW moving from CBS to the "Womens Entertainment" channel for "first run" shows!

It's the same here too Dave. What's even worse is with the digital age, we now have all these digital artifacts in the picture which were not seen with analog. Sure, HDTV is fantastic, but HDTV is only available on a select few channels and programs. I suppose it will eventually improve but it's not that great yet. Then on top of all that the digital costs are spiraling out of countrol, prices just going insane for cable subscriptions.

In the UK we have lost football and cricket to 'pay to view' they started showing Lost on free to view TV, then it was moved it really is beyond a joke....

I just going to have to keep downloading it and watching it on my computer. I cannot wait for the Season 2 DVD but that won't be until next year sometime as we have not even got Season 1 yet. That will come out in June so for us in the UK a long wait is upon us. Living does give a lot of advertisements, even for the DVD'S.

At least it's getting shown over here, which is better than nothing I guess. Also didn't T4 (the weekend programm thing on Channel 4) show the last season of Charmed?

It did but we still had to wait a while. Channel 5 stoped airing it, and i was so dissapointed. Channel 5's time slot for charmed was between 5pm and 7pm (it varied) which i really like cause it was on a saturday night but on T4 it was on at 1pm to 3pm, (it varied) this was to early and sometimes missed!!
