Sticky vs. Sub Forums?

What do you love hewitt fans think about replacing some of these stickies with sub forums instead? It frustrates me personally with scrolling more than half way down to view the latest threads...

Thoughts?

I kinda the sticky threads the way they are. I'd be more likely to forget to check any sub forums depending on how they're structured.

What bugs me more is that each page reloads before it's fully loaded. That goes faster now, but it's still frustrating.

You can also consider with sub-forums that this is a very active forum and things are already moved off the page before a single day is done. Splitting some of it up will prevent post from being moved off the page so quickly.

Just something to bring up on the plus side of sub-forums. This forum does have the most stickys but I think this is something that Trotter and the JLH forum members should discuses and chose what to do. (unless its something that’s going to be uniform)

I barely have to spin my mouse but Sub forums for sure, it would definitely relieve the first page for newbies who don't know what's going on. Once implemented anyone that visits the stickies will easily visit the sub-forums at the top of the first page.

Same opinion as Brent (Looking4Love) and same reasons.

As for the loosing threads subject Open32 has pointed, it's a question of modifying the "Number of Posts to Show Per Page" parameter at User Profile.

Ya, I have mine on the max of 40 and yesterday they still went off ther page in a day. THis of course being a good thing, Youall have a very busy forum.

I would like the board to stay the way it is, but of course I will go along with what the other posters would like, because at the end of the day this board belongs to everyone....

Other forums I'm on (and moderate for) would crumble if there weren't subforums. But I think this forum (fanhost) works remarkably well without that structure. So my vote goes for leaving it the way it is. Though I suppose it one wanted to implement subforums I would vote for these; pics, vids, news.
