Fast National ratings for Friday, Feb. 16, 2007

A better-than-average performance from "Ghost Whisperer" staked CBS to a ratings lead that it never gave up on Friday night.

CBS averaged a 7.2 rating/13 share for the evening to score a comfortable win over NBC, 5.6/10. ABC finished third at 4.3/7. FOX's 3.1/5 beat out The CW's 2.9/5 for fourth.

Among adults 18-49, CBS' 2.9 rating grabbed the top spot. NBC, 2.6, came in second, followed by ABC, 2.2; FOX, 2.1; and The CW, 1.6.

"Ghost Whisperer" earned the night's best rating, 7.7/14, for CBS at 8 p.m. NBC was second for the hour with "1 vs. 100," 5.9/10. A repeat of "Grey's Anatomy" put ABC in third. "Nanny 911" drew a 3.1/5 for FOX, and "Friday Night Smackdown!" delivered a 2.8/5 for The CW.

CBS stayed on top at 9 p.m. with "Close to Home," 7.0/12. "Las Vegas" rolled a 5.1/9 for CBS, while a second hour of "Grey's Anatomy" earned a 3.9/6 for ABC. "Nanny 911" averaged 3.2/5 for FOX, a little better than the second hour of "Smackdown!" on The CW.

At 10 p.m., CBS' "Numb3rs" posted a 7.0/12, topping the 6.0/10 for NBC's "Law & Order." ABC's "20/20" came in at 5.6/10.
