When Melinda was in front of the class and teaching them about antiques all of the teenage boys were bored and yawning. I didn't believe that for a second. Melinda could read me the phone book and I would be rivited. |

The story-line had a few kickers but overall I found it a bit too similar to the early episodes of Season 1 where everything unfolds the same. The dance montage at the end with Love dancin' in her seat proves once again that she's no square. The song she was boppin' to had echoes of 'Nelly-ville' and may have the power to arise another round of Playboy rumours... Anyone else catch that?? |

| Member ![]() | i love the fact that Love is on our tube each week with this show...and there have been some pretty good episodes but to say it is a great show would be a mistake of gigantic proportions!!!! Last nights episode was not good at all in my opinion, in fact it was flat out unwatchable at times. I thought this season was gonna mix it up a bit and be more daring, scary and thrilling but so far GW has not lived up to that hype all season long. I think this show at this pace and quality of interesting storylines will be lucky to survive through a 3rd season. Maybe it will get picked up for a 4th and then die off which is what some of the writing team should do b/c this show has potential, just no follow thru. |

I heard there was a lack of cleavage in last night's episode, could that be the reason you got bored.... ![]() | |

His thread opener was facetious, it doesn't take an astronaut in a diaper to figure that one out. Speaking of fanatics, how about shortbus/Gow's fanatical attraction to breasts? Gow/shortbus is not appreciated at this board due to his immature obsession to Love's chest. No, I don't know him personally, none of us know each other at all. What we do know is what we read here every day... Criticize away, THAT is perfectly fine, that's what the board is all about. The series should be discussed, I agree that it has it's weaknesses every week. Knock Love or tease about her physical being and expect reactions. Gowbus has already shown us his true feelings time and time again. Trotter lives in another country where they don't air these first-run episodes, if he's lucky they'll air them months from now. Figure it out; Love fans in America are very lucky, we really are, Love fans worldwide aren't so lucky. 1) Most of the GW episodes are directed towards women 2) There was no cleavage in the episode 3) Yes, there are huge competitions for cheerleading both regional and national, including college scholarships. Granted they're geared towards College, there are thousands of very young kids and High Schools involved in these competitions. Sadly there's rarely anything to work out when it comes to these plots, typical television. Last edited by i love love : 02-10-2007 at 07:42 PM. |

With the ending of the First Season and all the hype about the man in the black hat, you'd think that Season 2 would focus on that more. That's the interesting part of the show. But since it is a show with so many episodes per season, the writers have to put some filler in to fill the seasons. I expect it to get back to the storyline with the man towards the end of the season. Then it should be interesting. |

I don't catch them all but I get most. Last week's Speed Demon episode had some Disney flavours — that lil' red corvette look familiar?? The ending of another episode last month gave Cold Case and Medium some ribbing. That is one of the central narrative stances of the show that I believe Love is having some fun with so I like it. I think you might need to get Love in order to get the show though. As noted on this board a few days back the guy in the slicker from the 'Last Summer' flicks is guest-staring soon and that script will have all kinds of throwbacks to those films. It's clear that GW is not The West Wing but the cheek in it gives it an sort of 1hr-Drama-slash-JLH-variety-hour that knocks my socks off. Considering how controlled and controlling Hollywood is you gotta admire the subtle or perhaps strange rebellious stance being taken. "Fight the Power!" |
