Love said on Leno this was her favorite episode. I agree. It was great. Very touching and we learned She really resented her father but is trying to forgive him. Tom is his name by the way. The bloody body appeared at the end again so we will see as future episode air what he wants.

i liked how there wasnt a majorly over the top sappy ending when that ghost saw the light. season 2 has more variety with that kinda thing.

Absolutely LOVED this great episode (even though I missed the first few minutes----stupid me didn't set the recorder and I got home at 8:05)

Pretty good episode. Interesting little plot twists as usual, and I agree that this season hasn't seemed to be as overly sappy as the first, which I'm glad about. The only thing is that I was hoping that the show would have been scarier/darker. After all, Love did say on Leno that this was their Halloween episode, but it lacked any real "scare" factor.

One tough thing is.... what television series was ever really that scary? It's seems to be a tough thing to write? X-Files seemed to be able to grab some of that scare factor? In my opinion, these new GW episodes are sort of darker this season. Remember we had a dead guy get up off the street and you could hear his crunching and cracking bones. We just had a severely barbecued face in this one, that's darker to me. Not so much scarier but they'll probably keep trying. The formula is still rather tired, I think they should inject more fright into this series. I sure appreciate shows like Lost and The Nine with their superior storylines, throw some mystery into the mix, it has to be tough to write these stories.

Speaking of mystery, it's funny how they've dropped Wide Brim and Laughing so far, instead electing to show that bleeding hand again. Things may begin to tie into those two dudes again, with this bleeder.

What scares me the most is reading all those producers names in the opening credits, enough already, maybe they need to thin that herd.

i love love - I agree this show is more or less going no where. I will keep watching. Simply because I think Love deserves to have money going into her pocket. I just wish they would kick it up a notch.

There's still room for improvement, but it's getting better. I don't see it getting too much darker/scarier considering it's an 8:00 show, though.

Love really knows how to show a great display of emotion.

When Melinda started to do a search on the Internet for her father, it reminded me of her old character Sarah on "Time of Your Life," who was also searching for her father.

While I would like the show to become darker/scarier, I don't think it will because the 8-9pm timeslot is considered "family hour," and even though there are dark elements to the show, it's still mostly a tearjerker that families and women will flock to, and I think making it more convoluted and scary might turn them away. Sure, X-Files was good, but it was only good for awhile, then it became too complicated for its own good. For me, the best episodes were the stand-alones that had nothing to do with the shows way-too-involved mythology.

I do think they should do more with Wide Brim and Laughing Guy, though, since they're starting to explain who they are/were. I'm guessing Bleeding Guy might be connected to them somehow.

Camryn Manheim's character is going to have to learn about Melinda's gift sooner or later. I can see why Melinda is hesitant to tell people, and that she's had a pretty lonely life, but they can at least show her attempting to.

The TOYL internet episode concerned Sarah's on-again off-again oddball friend Spencer, it sure got out of hand when Sarah pretended to be Spencer's girlfriend online. Here's a description of the episode from an online guide:
