| Junior Member ![]() ![]() ![]() | In episode 203, "Drowned Lives", Melinda will help a 6-year-old girl who drowned in the family swimming pool. Given the new Ghost Whisperer policy of dressing Melinda in a way that will not upset the delicate sensibilities ghost children (Love Asked To Cover Up) We Bears wondered what she would wear. Perhaps a turtle-necked sweater ( 50 Love Facts #16) would be adequate cover. Based on highly suspect sources, we believe we may have identified the outfit Melinda is going to wear. Would this be modest enough? Click for a larger image: ![]() (Actually, these were taken at the GIRLS Book Party Hosted by Christy Turlington September 13, 2000 ) |

Her top stopped about 2 inches above her n*pples ("i" missing in case of censorship) and her next clothing upwards was her earings ! Just had another look and she wasn't wearing any earings !I was so shocked (after drooling ) after her interview about less revealing clothing !!Last edited by Old Man; 10-01-2006 at 07:46 PM.. |

If the censors were not hypocrits they could have forced her to wear a wrap or a top that did not leave her shoulders bare etc.Quote:

If you only want to throw a cheap shot at hypocracy in someone's country than that's your right. Problem is the thread is more about Love's series called Ghost Whisperer, than hypocracy in the USA. SO FAR, no one other than Love herself has stated anything about censorship within these episodes, and that was within the context of a humorous interview with Conan O'Brian, it's jumping to conclusion otherwise. Sure there could be some worried execs, I doubt they're overly concerned? How about some of the other racy television series out there? Look at the other reports online and they're all quoting Love's statements (many word for word) on Conan. Granted there are plenty of hypocrites in the USA. You'll also find plenty of hypocrites in every other corner of the globe. Quote:

So far, the root of all these reports are Jennifer Love Hewitt, a lighthearted interview no less, an interview where she wore a rather exciting dress with cleavage and toyed with the subject too. This outfit is quite unlike anything else Hewitt has worn and we were puzzled when we got the first couple of images as to when and where the photos were taken. The note is correct -- the event was GIRLS Book Party Hosted by Christy Turlington September 13, 2000. As to who took the photos, we have no idea. We take i love love's word on this because he is usually pretty knowledgeable on such matters. We know from the interview that Hewitt really likes this sweater so we wouldn't be surprised if she lent it to her friend Melinda. The sweater is not exactly Melinda's style but she might put it underneath one of those classic long embroidered coats she is always wearing. Then she might just get hot (like around husband Jim) and have to take it off showing us the turtleneck's fine fit and reveal her lovely shoulders. Bears can dream, can't they? ![]()

Levine also shot photos of Love at a couple of other events in the New York area. I really do believe that this is actually a one piece dress not a separate sweater/skirt, sorry if I'm splitting yarn, no matter what it's a still great look that's for sure. I'm sure you're just referring to the idea of a turtleneck hehehe. Last edited by i love love; 10-02-2006 at 03:13 AM.. |

What we saw was a chance to put together several threads/issues into one post and have some fun at the same time. These were Melinda's need to cover up when working with ghost children, Hewitt's answer to item 16 in the FHM interview, and the fact that there would be a 6-year old ghost child in this week's episode. We agree with you the coverup stories all originated with the Conan interview. While the interview was humorous, we think that Hewitt's idea of not upsetting the sensibilities of ghost children with her outfits was a genuine concern. She needs to keep her strong base of family fans happy (the ones she gets from all those voice-over parts and the Garfield movies). The second thread was this from the FHM June 2002 interview: Quote:
In third place, we speculated that nothing would cover Melinda better than Hewitt's turtleneck sweater dress. Or maybe not -- not when the dress clings to every curve of her excellent figure and reveals some mighty fine shoulder blades as a bonus. This dress just might be more upsetting to the wee ones than some of her low-cut nightgowns. Life is complicated. As to the dress itself, we think you are probably right that it is one piece. What we really like is that these are some of the earliest photos to show Hewitt's womanly figure. That is, where she has hips and a butt (bum for you UKers). As you have pointed out in other posts, the woman did not like her butt then (for reasons that escape almost every person who posts to this board including The Bears) and rarely posed in clothes that showed it. Thank goodness Ross has helped her come to terms with this body part. ![]()
