So much of that interview was twisted around when a recap full of false info was posted on Howard Stern's website. The various tabloids based their information on the recap rather than the interview itself. This was what was in US Weekly some time ago. During a surprise stand-up comedy appearance at Hollywood's Laugh Factory May 26, Mayer, 28, joked that some bad fish came between him and Jennifer Love Hewitt. The two dated briefly in 2002, but Mayer said that he never got to do the deed, because of a bout with food poisioning. "It really was me making fun of myself," the singer-songwriter tells Us of his comedy gig, adding that he sent an apology to Hewitt, 27, "I'm a wimp." (Hewitt's rep didn't return calls) | |

| .  | GREAT clip Xator, thanks. There are some ancient shots of Wilmer and Love dancing at some event. That doesn't mean anything more than dancing. These sleezeball tabloids love to create these things to sell their rags. Unless you hear it directly from the mouths of these stars you can't believe these reports, and some of those mouths shouldn't be believed in the first place. Look at Wilmer's own story, they couldn't even get that one right either. Stern adores bullcrap and Wilmer rode that train for fun. Guys love the attention so they're not always willing to come forth and correct their mistakes or their bullcrap. At least Mayer apologized, and that may have come after all the negative feedback he got after the fact. Sounds like he tried to do comedy and failed, give him a break, he seems like a nice enough guy. Wilmer seemed very nice when I met him, doesn't make him a saint but many of these stories are turned inside out by the press and the plain old mistaken word-of-mouth rumor machine that is the public at large. | . | Wilmer's a total flirt, that's obvious. I just watched the entire Stern and Wilmer interview. He's fun and he's likely full of crap too. He managed to deny a couple of the rumored exploits but didn't deny Hewitt. We'll never know for sure, but it just doesn't matter anyway. He still seems like a nice guy. Towards the end of the interview Stern asked which would he prefer to marry Lindsey Lohan or Hewitt and he said Lohan. And in classic Stern form he asked the nastiest stuff towards the very end which I can't even write here. It had nothing to do with Love at all, Stern just loves to get nasty. It is available on "Howard Stern On Demand" right now, uncut, unedited. As Wilmer left the show they asked if Lohan would be contacting him after this interview and he said "it's all in fun, and it's all entertainment", enough said. Wilmer also went on and on about Mandy Moore during the show. At the tail end of the entire show, Stern talked to Moore's promotional representative and they denied everything and said that Moore was "pissed", and that Zach Braff wasn't thrilled with all this either. | Member Newbie |  Greatest Interview She has ever done I truly think that was the greatest interview she has ever done...she was articulate and sounded incredible...I am a big critic of her interviews...in as such the majority of the time she plays teh nice girl but talks about things that no one else needs to know...but this interview was great... I also have to say that her body would be a wonderland as Mr Mayer points out...I am sure we all think this some times...sure she is a great actress\singer but ...come on...she is the hottest woman on the planet... Also I have a mea culpa to perform...After seeign this interview I believe that she will never ever do a demeaning act of posing nude...she seems past the flighty childness of a Lohan, Duff or Spears...she is moving more toward a Zeta-Jones, Johanson, Phiffer in as such she will tease the audience but keep her clothes on enough to be considered a true "actress" |
