Estimated ticket sales were for Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to Exhibitor Relations Co. Inc. Final figures will be released Monday.

1. "Cars," $31.2 million.
2. "Nacho Libre," $27.5 million.
3. "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift," $24.1 million.
4. "The Lake House," $13.7 million.
5. "The Break-Up," $9.5 million.
6. "Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties," $7.2 million.
7. "X-Men: The Last Stand," $7.15 million.
8. "The Omen," $5.35 million.
9. "The Da Vinci Code," $5 million.
10. "Over the Hedge," $4.05 million.

Not super but not terrible considering the competition. Hopefully it can pick up a bit of steam or at least sustain what it has already. Cars being out at the same time dilutes the kid/family market.

Wait until it hits England and Dave will keep it going by himself. (How many times did you see the first one, Dave?

Well, Garfield is doing good here in the Philippines. It does battles with Fast and the Furious, Just My Luck and Nacho Libre but I think it's ahead of the competition (not because I love Love but that's the truth). I had seen Cars, it's good though of course no one beats Garfield 2: Tail of Two Kitties especially the opening day where me and my friends got into the moviehouse. The good thing there is that the seats are full... most of the people I've seen watching we're kids with their parent. I just knew Garfield would do better!

In my opinion Cars is far beyond all these films. Great storyline, Pixar never fails.

Even if it doesn't do really well it's no problem for Love. I don't think her career depends upon appearing in Garfield 3.

but it's cute to see her character Liz staying for long. I mean, this is a successful franchise which is pretty good.. with good director, and movie producers. Maybe they might cast her in other big-bidgeted movies. I can't wait to see that.
