She's more than a little relieved that she won't have to disrobe onscreen: "The rest of my life is in the public arena - stuff that happens in my family, what I've looked like for the past 10 years, my hair colours, weight gains and losses, dating life - all that is shared. "My naked body shouldn't have to be out there in the public. I need something that's mine alone." |

| Member | Glad for Love... yea...i'm glad ghost whisperer is doing well for love's sake..but i agree with some of you that i can live without it and would rather of seen her take on a bunch of different characters in lots of movies!!! I don't think Ghost Whisperer will last too long anyways because it doesn't have staying power storylines as of yet...people will be sick of it by mid season this year if they don't change it up a bit!!! Even adorable and charming Love won't be able to save it once it begins to tumble...shocked to here her say she was considering going topless though, i never thought she would even say that in this lifetime...would love to see it of course as would every other SANE hetero -male on this planet. THANKX FOR THE INTERESTING READ THOUGH!!! |

You may be right and you may be wrong. There were many doubters during the first season of GW too, and they were left disappointed. Love never specifically said she'd do any nudity at all, it was just the most recent round of tabloid fantasies concerning Love and her decisions. If you saw the last Leno you would have heard it straight from Love herself. | |

| Member |  I Love Love... ur right, she never said she would be nude but she never said she wouldn't either...she just said PLAYBOY wasn't happening at this time. i could care less if Love ever poses nude or does PLAYBOY, i just don't like to hear people judge her and say they will look at her differently if she does. |

| Goat Whisperer | This sort of story is never going away is it.  It's all harmless really I guess. I find it hard to believe she will ever feel she "has to" do nudity. She is a solid B-list actress doing what she's doing and that seems good enough for her and there's no reason it shouldn't continue to be. |

Melinda Gordon comes across as a very sympathetic character who has a calling to help spirits make things right with those they left behind. However, she faces constant opposition from the living who think she is trying to scam them and has only her charm and power of persuasion to reach them. She does this without the authority of a badge or special rights of a doctor or lawyer to make them listen to her. This presents a substantial acting challenge for the lead character which we feel Love handles very well.  By using guest stars to introduce the conflict and resolution each week, Ghost Whisperer avoids the problem of many other shows where they have to force regular cast members into crises each week to create dramatic tension. Instead, the regular cast members can be supportive of Melinda's work and remain sympathetic to viewers. Well-known guest stars can also be used to boost the show's ratings which we expect will be done more in the future. We doubt there will be substantial changes in the basic concept for the second season -- only expansions to it. Ghost Whisperer has done well in its difficult time slot by attracting an audience of 10 to 12 million each week in the U.S. and probably that many again overseas. CBS gave the show an early full season order in October and a second season renewal in early March. Additionally, Touchstone Productions has just signed a two-year deal with John Gray, the creator and producer as reported in the thread "Some More Good Ghost Whisperer News." To us, this indicates the powers-that-be think the show has the potential for running a long time. The show Ghost Whisperer most closely resembles is probably Touched by an Angel. That show, too, was written off by critics at the beginning but stayed on the air nine years.
