So many unusual titles have been released in the past. You'd think with Love's popularity that they may release TOYL, just not sure whether they'll bother. They're obviously not making much profits on PO5, look how many months they delayed season two. VCD's are junk, a huge waste of money. |

| Junior Member ![]() ![]() ![]() | Some cancelled series have made it to DVD, Firefly for example. But that was probably a special case because the creator, Joss Whedon, was determined to make all the episodes available, even if they were not broadcast (and he later made a feature film). Also, the show a small, but devoted fan base. Wheadon probably made sure he had all his ducks in a row with regard to rights. We would guess the chances of Time of Your Life getting released on DVD depend most on who owns the rights to the show. For example, LoveSpell Entertainment lists 5 different companies involved with Ghost Whisperer including LSE. When a show fails, some of these companies may also fail making it difficult to untangle who has the rights to what. The problem with music rights has been touched on before on this board. Many old shows had to be remastered with substitute music because the contracts in those days did not include video sales. This might also be true of actors and writers who have rights to residuals (i.e., payments for later showings past the original run of the show). These may not have been included in contracts for TOYL and would have to be negotiated with the various craft unions or artists involved. It would not be easy to substitute an actor. We bears are not saying Time of Your Life won't be released to video. We just wanted to share some of the things we have learned about problems that have to be overcome to make it happen. ![]() |

AFTER season five, no less. Some JLH fans could care less about the PO5 story arcs that lead to Sarah's journey and discoveries in New York. It sure would be herky-jerky if they released TOYL before all the PO5 seasons, yet getting all SIX seasons of PO5 are looking more grim all the time, what a shame. I've heard that Prison Break is pretty good? I've never seen it though. |
