| Junior Member ![]() ![]() ![]() | I became a Love fan while watching PO5 on Lifetime 8 years ago or so. Anyway some of the songs they played during the show are different on the DVD. For instance, when Bailey wanted to leave for college and Sarah didn't want him to go at first and then decided to let him, Rusted Roots song "Send Me On My Way" played at the end. On the DVD it is something else. Then the episode when Julia is pregnant, Bailey and Sarah are in Bailey's jeep discussing their sexual situation and Cowboy Junkies "Angel Mine" is playing on the radio. In the DVD it is something else. I was wondering if anyone knows why? It seems weird to me. |

So many great ones, like Joni Mitchell's "The Circle Game" as the primary cast played at their parent's gravesite, and my favorite heartbreaker of all, following a horrific tragedy which involved two primary castmembers, you hear Peter Gabriel/Kate Bush's song "Don't Give Up" in the background. That one is from season three, I'll be pretty bummed if they don't shell out the money for it, won't be too surprised if they don't. It's too bad that these labels don't allow their artists' songs to be left intact, it would only make some people want to go out and buy their damn products. It's all about money, and all these artists are obligated to feed their lawyers and labels whether they like it or not. Last edited by i love love; 05-13-2006 at 11:12 PM.. |

It unfortunately happens all the time, and it sucks because those songs were there for a reason and now there are second-rate replacements in their place. But for people who didn't watch the first time around I'm sure it's all the same. |

I mean, what will they do when they finally get to a later season when we get a guest appearance from REM? Hehe, will they finally put up the dough, or will the PO5 seasons stop being released by then? What about the couple of beautiful moments when Love gets to briefly sing on the show? Will they clip them, God I hope not. Last edited by i love love; 05-15-2006 at 12:35 AM.. |
