Las Vegas had more viewers for the first time it has moved to Fridays. Numbers still did well but thats to be expected. It goes to show the Power Of Love. Ha Ha. I think CBS will think twice about having GW end 2 weeks before other shows. It also doesn't fair well for Close To Home to be picked up next year. Fridays definately need GW to lead off that 8:00pm spot. |

We hope GW gets a full order next year. Given the power of Love, maybe CBS will even move it to a better night next season. Given the show pulled the largest audience of the night on Friday on a regular basis, it would probably pull 3 to 4 million more viewers if shown on a Monday - Thursday night. ![]() Last edited by thebears; 05-13-2006 at 08:14 PM..

There's no set count for a television season, they vary. Look at a very popular show like Lost. First season was 25 episodes (including the pilot), second season looks to be 23 episodes with 3 additional specials. The first season of NUM3ERS was only 13 episodes. The first 4 seasons of CSI were 23 episodes each. The final season of Friends was only 18 episodes, which includes a special. Any series can easily be cancelled at any time if it doesn't get the viewership, GW would be up against this if it competed with shows like Lost or American Idol. Friday has been a perfect place for her series. |

| I think that Ghost Whisperer could compete well on Sundays at 8 with its concept and primary target audience. I know they are ditching their Sunday movie so Cold Case could always move back an hour. Though it is certainly a very tough night, especially with the NFL moving in, there's enough viewers to go around to support all of the networks. Aside from that it really depends on what it would go up against. From everything I've read so far, it looks like they plan on keeping it on Fridays. Anyway, this past Friday's numbers certainly display how important Ghost Whisperer has been to the success of CBS on Fridays. |

Other posters have made an equally valid point that there is risk in moving a show and we can see that. Our point is simply that staying on Friday, a low viewership night, limits the potential audience for Ghost Whisperer. That maybe OK. But to us putting on the show was a risk in the first place so why not go for broke? ![]()

This will lead to a Friday win cause CBS will take the 9 and 10 oclock hour lead cause I think those shows are staying put as well. Las Vegas and probably Conviction, ABC is premiering a new hour comedy this fall at 8pm, but I am sure it want phase GW. CBS doesnt care if GW doesn't win the hour as long as the ratings are consistant and I am sure Deal Or No Deal will fade. As for Close To Home following who knows? If not, they better find something good to keep people watching after GW. |
