| Lennon & Co ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The season finale for Ghost Whisperer is confirmation that this new series is doing for television what The Sixth Sense has done for the cinema. This is one of the most miraculously successful season finales of 2006, and Jennifer Love Hewitt, in her performance as Melinda Gordon whose emotional triumph over the evil forces that threaten innocent souls, earns more than her share of acclaim. Since 9/11, the portrayal of lives victimized by airplane tragedies has been something for fictional drama to be wary of. I cannot envision any fictional drama being more true to the human heart and spirit in this respect than Ghost Whisperer. And the astonishing twist ending rivals The Sixth Sense's. Twist endings that can end ambiguously, or in this case lead to another yet unknown chapter, can be more profound than twist endings that are resolved either happily or unhappily. I am certainly including the next season of John Gray's Ghost Whisperer to my list of shows worth viewing. A new era for extraordinary drama has dawned. Amen. |

| Junior Member ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well, regardless of who wrote it, we agree wholeheartedly! We have felt from the beginning that it was the good writing of John Gray and his team plus the great acting from JLH that has made Ghost Whisperer such an impressive show. Our experience with Love's work is limited but from what we've seen, Ghost Whisperer is the best thing she's ever done. It has stretched her as an actor and she has risen to the challenge. We say "well done!" |
