| Member Newbie |  All I apologize for my post critisizing the new amendment...I understand the gossip arguement lowering the classiness of the site but I think the pics can be lumped into the same category... because if you look at such high profile mags such as People, Us, or the National Enquirer these same pics always follow the story of gossip...they do and there is no dispute of that So with that said I looked deeper into why we shouldn't talk about Love's personal life...the answer is simple (and was pointed out to me) there are some sick people out there who can't distinguish reality from fiction...in other words...stalkers...If we give them a oppurtunity to reach more and more personal info they will fall deeper and deeper into thier fantasies...which could leave to harm to Ms Hewitt or who ever she is dating... I am sure that all of us would be devastated if anything happened to her(or any cleb for that matter) by egging someone on or fanning the flames of someones sick twisted fantasy... In other words we really don't want the gossip but also we really don't need it...so again sorry and my dissention is repealed. |

|  You're still new and we don't hate you yet [img]smile.gif[/img] . Your point was legit, in a sense. Sadly, you hafta realize that a lot of ppl aren't wise and savvy and full of self-control like you and I. This is the internet, and mostly creeps like Big A hang out here. Most of us will look at the People picture and say "dandy." We'll read the article if forced to and say "a'ight." Then there's some people... who will talk for the next hour about the article. Then we'll go to dinner and even though *I* am the ony friggin buying him a friggin steak, he'll *STILL* talk about JLH and his thoughts on her personal life. Nothing about her professional life or what she might be like as a person *NO* that would be too broad of a topic. We're only allowed to talk about her and what "creep" she's dating now and what "jer<biga>k-a<biga>ss" she dated last year and what "airbrain" (whatever that means) she was seen publicly with and blahblahblahblahblah. It's really unhealthy I tell you. Especially when I drop him off at his ratty apartment, go home, and I have a 3-msg essay on the theories of why JLH goes for such "big incredible losers." It never stops man. IT NEVER FRIGGIN STOPS!!! So really... the only way to prevent these unstable people from dragging on these insane discussions about her personal life is to stop it all together before it starts. We can, however, talk about her movies or how hot she is. That's perfectly fine. [img]tongue.gif[/img] |
