So as the subject says I upgraded my decade old stereo system I got at K-Mart for Christmas back in my freshman year of high school with a new Sony system which is incredibly sweet. Anyway, as you all know I own Jennifer's album Barenaked and this new system has 8 graphic equalizer presets on it and I want to create a custom preset solely for Barenaked. So my question to the board is when you listen to Barenaked on your stereos how do you have the sound setup in terms of equalizer settings/bass boost/etc.? I really want to have Barenaked sounding perfect on this new system so I thought I'd ask you guys for help. Thanks in advance for any input you all can provide. I am out!

Okay guys and gals I have created the custom graphic equalizer preset for Barenaked on my stereo. For the record I own a Sony MHC-GX250 sound system and for those who want to try the setting I created on their stereo at home here it is (disclaimer: your equalizer settings may differ than mine seeing how you might own a different model stereo from a different company so mileage may vary): Low setting (which handles low signals like Bass signals): +2 Mid setting (which handles mid signals like the sound of certain guitars): +4 High setting (which handles vocals and high signal instruments): +6 And I have the bass boost (known as Groove mode here) turned on to provide just a little extra kick in the ass. Also, follow what the good Doctor (talking about Dr Doogie) said in his post and it any JLH album should sound great. Glad I could create this thread. I am out!

i play it with my computer. I'm using a 5.1 surround sound system with 370W RMS (Teufel Concept E Magnum), in connection with my soundcard (Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS) and enabled almost all special effects of it (EAX, CMSS3D, special equalizer settings). It just sounds great! if you want to have a look on it: http://www.teufel.de/de/Multimedia/s_133.cfm or for the technicans: http://www.teufel.de/de/Multimedia/s...m?show=technik
