| Just an update from the final box office data today: Garfield pulled ahead of Stepford Wives (which overestimated its box office take). Garfield is now officially #4 for the weekend with the same estimate they had yesterday, $21.7 mil and Stepford Wives drops to #5 with $21.4 mil. Congrats, Love -- you're movin' on up!! |

It doesn't stand a chance at all. Even Riddick may drop off rather fast since most sci-fi's limp by unnoticed. It should be interesting to see the next couple of week's business. Garfield still did damn well no matter what the competition was. |

| amen to that. I really thought Garfield would do poorly, based on all those negative reviews. I'm even surprised Stepford Wives did that well, since the ads were confusing ... is it funny? is it scary? I guess that's the drawing power of Oscar-winning stars like Nicole Kidman, and Oscar-nominated stars like Bette Midler, Glenn Close and Christopher Walken. |
