I hope you don't mind me doing this post but it's one I had to do.

For those of you who were on this board a year ago I hope you remember a lovely young lady called Nicole who posted here under the name OnlyforJLH.

It's a year ago today that she lost her brave fight with cancer and God thought it was time to end her pain and take her as an angel.

For those of us who knew her, we will never forget this sweet caring kind and beautiful girl who was always ready to help others and share what ever she had on Love.

Although a year has passed I still miss her so much her lovely e-mails, the chats we used to have and of course all her amazing posts on this board.

For those of you who didn't know her, I'm sorry, you would have grown to love her as much as I did.

She was only 25 when she left us but in her short few years on this earth she spread more love and happiness than most people do in a lifetime.

I know she is looking down on me and I know she will be mad to see me crying, but I'm sorry my lovely Nicki even now I can't help it.....

I AM NOT ABLE TO BE WITH YOU...

Trotter: It's a beautiful tribute, for you to remember Nicole in this way, sharing your thoughts and feelings with other JLH fans ... and so I think she would look down on you and SMILE for honoring her this way.
You have kept Nicole in your heart -- and it's a loving gesture to put her memory at the forefront of our thoughts on this painful anniversary.
For Nicole to have meaningfully touched lives in so short a span of time is a wonderful contribution to make to this difficult world. Thanks for reminding us of her time on earth ... and of her ongoing presence in your life and the lives of everyone else who knew her.

She was amazing. It's good a thing you're doing this Dave, means alot. I didn't realise it was exactly one year ago, because i wasn't around at the time which still makes me sad. I know she's looking down on us and i know that she'll always be in my heart [img]smile.gif[/img]

Even though I wasn't around this time last year I too have lost friends to cancer so my heart goes out to Nicole's friends and family. Very nice tribute Trotter.......

I did not start posting here until recently, so I didn't know her, but it sounds like she was an amazing person.

Really great tribute, Dave. I wish I could have known Nicole better, but with the few messages we wrote, I realized she was a great and brave person. I can hardly believe that a year has passed since then.

Nicole, you'll never be forgotten.

I'm not sure what I can say about her that Dave didn't articulate so well. I miss her so much. Even though we were thousands of miles apart, she made me feel like she was right here.

Thanks for starting this topic, Dave. It's good for those of us who knew her to remember her; and, for those that didn't, it's good to know about such a great human being and contributor to this board.

THANK-YOU so much to everyone who has taken the time to answer this thread...

When I first made it I was a bit worried in case you might have forgotten her, I should have know better than to have thought that of great people like you.

And for those of you who never knew her, thank-you even more you would have loved her.

Today in her home town in Germany they are holding a special service for her in her local church.

They are going to show a picture slideshow of Nicki's life while playing one of her favourite songs 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' it will end with the song 'Tears In Heaven'.

she was an incredibly nice and sweet person Dave.
i remember when i was in SS we used to PM each other few times.
