Thank you for putting this article up Trotter. It is an excellent example detailing the words of a sub-par TV critic's rant.

I would be offended if anyone would say anything defamatory about Jennifer Love Hewitt but in this article I can't really conclude if the words Ms. Lisa De Moraes are negative or even positive. All I kept reading were numerous references to her perky acting and personal persona. Is perkiness suppose to be a bad thing? Based on her fans on this message board the obvious consenses be the answer no. If critics wish to erode that key trait of her beloved personality I will be one very unhappy man.

Ms. De Moraes entire column was practically mumbo-jumbo as she used far too many words to explain a minor soft news item. The full version of the article in the Washington Post website also goes into some depth with Adam Corolla explaining him with the same wordiness.

After this lengthy message, some of you might rightfully accuse me of being a hypocrite. But, I am trying to make every word I say count not padding column space. I apologize to Ms. De Moraes for some harshness but I seriously hope this is not her career-defining story.

Methinks Lisa de Moraes is a tad jealous of our Love. Most of these journalists have to write about gorgeous, talented people and every once in a while, it's bound to make them grumpy about their own lives and in turn, they lash out at others who have made a success of themselves. I guess if I didn't like JLH, I might find it funny. However, Lisa's stupid comments about "If Only" showed her ignorance of this project. Love has a number of sweet, funny scenes in this film, but she also has some great dramatic moments -- and the film, as a whole, is poignant and moving. It's obvious this writer saw very little of "If Only" but felt the need to pass judgment on it, erroneously, I might add. She made it sound like a silly little comedy when it is anything but. What an ignorant, arrogant, misguided ... lady. I think I might be writing her a letter very soon ... ;)

I read her column, listen to her interviews a bunch being in Washington, and that is simply her style about everything, pure sarcasm, shallow depth. I wouldn't read too much in to it. Actually, a pretty good sign of the fact that there is some awareness that her exposure is going to be increasing in the coming months.

On a side note, I think Adam Carolla is a funny dude, so 2 things to look forward to this fall. ;)

Trotter: I'm really glad you posted that article. It's always interesting to read the good and the bad, and to vent a little at the poor, ignorant people who don't know Love like we do ;)
And TC Visitor makes a good point -- that even though she was sarcastic, at least this writer from the Washington Post was talking about Love as if she were suddenly "everywhere" ... good news for diehard fans like us who have been troubled by the bumpy road her indie movies have taken over the last few years. But with Ghost Whisperer in the fall and If Only in January, momentum is definitely going Love's way! [img]graemlins/thumbs.gif[/img]
