Is Leno Booked Solid?

As of now JLH had made several talk-show
appearances...but except for that walk-on,
no regular "Tonight" Show appearance...

I have an idea about that...Since Jay Leno is
due to hand over the show in 2009...what if it's
already booked solid?

That would mean that JLH could have already made
her last regular appearance...?!

I can't imagine that Jay Leno would be booked solid for the next four years ..!
There will always be new shows, new stars to promote -- how could he make room for the stars of tomorrow if he's already booked until 2009? For example, over a year ago, nobody would have had Teri Hatcher on their talk show -- but along comes Desperate Housewives and she's a household name and suddenly in demand.
I think it has more to do with the fact that Jay Leno's show is on NBC and Love's show is on CBS -- Love did a lot of CBS talk shows to promote GW, including Letterman. And who knows? There's no love lost between Leno and Letterman, so maybe a choice had to be made -- either Leno OR Letterman ...
Made sense to promote a new CBS series on CBS talk shows.
Love has a great rapport with Leno -- I sure hope she goes on Leno when "If Only" airs! I hope she makes the rounds, promoting it as heavily as GW.

My guess would be that she will do a lot of shows including Leno promoting Garfield 2.
That movie is set to premiere in june 06.

No, Leno is certainly not booked solid for the rest of his run.

Just think about it: He normally welcomes guests who are on a promotional tour (with a few exceptions) for a movie, a CD or a TV show. How should he (and his staff) know what's gonna be released at what time in a year, not to menion a good three years from now? I think actually that the lineups for the shows are pretty hectic and often changed at the last possible moment, as release dates of any medium shift heavily sometimes, and the guests want to be on the shows the moment the new show/movie/CD is fresh and in the buzz.

The reasons for Love not appearing on Leno can be countless. I for one just think they couldn't find a spot for her during the promo tour she did for GW. It's also quite possible that they offered her a few dates, but she had to decline because of scheduling conflicts.

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure we'll see Love on Leno again soon.

Of course she'll be back, she signed his motorcycle a short time ago. It's impossible and not logical that any talkshow is booked more than a few weeks ahead. Entertainers surface on these shows to promote their wares, it's not a hotel.

I don't think she was on Regis and Kelly this time around either. Of course Gellman may have creeped her out a bit. He paid a little too much attention to her, and not in a good way.

She probably just couldn't do the show when they had a spot open. Who's to say that she won't do it in a couple weeks?

She wasn't on there, hasn't been on there in years. Never noticed a thing about Gellman, he acts more introverted and gay than anything and they rarely even show the guy.

She was supposed to do Regis to promote Garfield last summer, but it was pre-empted due to Pres. Reagan's funeral. I don't watch the show unless someone I'm particularly interested in is on (even though Kelly is a hottie ;) ). Gellman's married (to a woman), despite all of the 'gay stuff.'

being on a CBS talk show...

BUT, JLH also has been on several NON-CBS
shows....can't blame me for being curious
about this one....

One her latest promo tour, Love hasn't been on any other network shows. Ellen, Danza, and Tyra are all syndicated. I don't think that she's avoiding other networks or that she's being skipped over by them, either. I just think that CBS has been the priority for now. She still has good relationships with the other shows as far as I know. When the time is good for both her and those other shows, she'll be on them. Now that the show has been picked up for the season, she has plenty of time for press.

I shouldn't be teasing about Gellman, he never made any advances towards Love on any Regis appearance.

Notice that Entertainment Tonight and The Insider have exclusive segments too, it's CBS' new baby and they're enjoying it.

Totally agree with what you said... Leno has anyone on that is in the news at the moment.. If there was a break-out show he would have someone from the cast on. For instance, who knew "Lost" would be a hit but if you look I am sure he has had someone from the show on, so the thought of him booked up until he leaves is hard to imagine....

Sometimes stars go out to promote their shows during sweeps, so it is possible she might do some more promotion in November or February. Whatever the case, she'll be on Leno again. Lot of things go in to bookings that everybody has already covered.
