Will Love do more risque' roles?

The question of how and when Love becomes a bigger star depends on 2 things...Once again this is my opinion only...can she hook up with a big time movie like a Titanic or a Spiderman or will she move to more adult and risque'(aka nudity, think of Halle Berry or Charlize Theron) roles? I would like to know what you Love afficiandos and friends think...

***I believe that without something her career will remain in movies that don't get "world-wide releases"...think of that...What do Charlize Theron and Hally Berry have in common after a nude appearenece...A OSCAR!!!

She should go for it and do what ever it takes to become a big star.

I think she should do what she wants to do. If she feels comfortable displaying her body and she feels the work is respectable then I certainly don't see a problem with her taking what would be considered more adult roles. On the other hand, if she is uncomfortable with it then I definately don't think she should get naked just to get "better roles". There's plenty of work out there, it just depends on what she wants to do. At least that's my opinion.

Yes, like most man I wonder how hot she will look nude,but I'm afraid that she will lose that something special about her(her sweetness or innocences)I know she pose for sexy pictures but she never lost that innocences about her.So I hope she does not do risque roles the price will be to high.

I Really Pray Love Never Does Nudity. That's Because I'm A Bit Over-Protective When It Comes To Her. But Also, She's One Of The Very Few Role Models Left Out There. I Have A Step Niece And Who Can She Look Up To? Britney Spears Nowadays? Lindsay Lohan? I'd Hope Not.

Charlize & Halle Are Considered As Respectable Talented Actresses And Let's Face It... Even Though We Know How Much Talent Love Has, There Is Still A Majority Of People Who See Her As The Giggly, Ditzy Actress Who Hasn't Done The Greatest Movies...

Don't Get Me Wrong... I Love Love, She's My Fave Actress But A Lot Of People Still View Her As How She Used To Be On Party Of Five And Who Did Some Horror Films... And If People Aren't Following Her Career Like We Do... They Assume She Hasn't Done Much Since Those Films. They See Previews Of Movies Such As Garfield, And Even Though It Was A Cute Movie, A Lot Of People Didn't Actually Think "Oh Wow... I Want To See That"

So What I'm Trying To Say Is That... Yeah, Charlize & Halle Did Nude Scenes And Their Careers Got Bigger. But Then There Are Several Actresses Who Have Done Nude Scenes And Are Looked At As Nothing More Than A Piece Of Meat. Screencaps Appear On The Internet But That's About It To Their Popularity.

I Feel That If Love Were To Do A Nude Scene At This Point Of Her Career, It Would Ruin Things For Her. More People Need To See Her True Talent, To Respect Her-, Instead Of Seeing Her Topless. Because The Majority Of People Who Would Go See The Films Would Be Perverted Little Boys Who Wanna See Her Boobs. Not People Who Are Going To Think "Wow, Jennifer Love Hewitt Deserves An Oscar... She's Amazingly Talented..."

if she did a nude scene i'd be very disapointed. I want her to be a big star(so we can see her in more movies) just like everyone else, but at what expense? I don't believe she should do whatever it takes to become a big star. Especially when one of those things is nudity. Being ahuge star isn't everything and i bet she's very happy with her life now.

Love should NOT do a nude scene as some career move, definitely, because it would cheapen her at this point. She's a different kind of actress -- in the "America's sweetheart" category, like Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock and neither of those actresses have done or will do nudity. I think it would be viewed by the general public/ non-fans as a desperate attempt to advance her career at this point. The only way it could possibly garner her "respect" is only if it is in some high-quality film with a phenomenal role that demands nudity -- this is going back over 20 years, but Jessica Lange in "Frances" comes to mind. The nude scenes in that were not "sexy" nor did they happen during love scenes. They were harrowing -- with the character of Frances huddled nude on a shower floor in a mental hospital, screaming. That's a different kind of nudity.
Anyway ... unfortunately, I don't know if Love will be offered that kind of role any time soon, nor will she get the roles that are offered to Halle Berry or Reese Witherspoon at this point. She NEEDS a hit to get a hit -- ironically, "If Only" would be a nice hit for her and engender a lot of respect for her talents; however, she needs to have another hit first to get If Only released in this country ... this is such a stupid business sometimes! So many bad movies get released but If Only sits on a shelf right now. Ridiculous.

You're right there with how she's viewed. Though Sandra has done a bit of nudity.

The main thing is though When bigname actresses do nudity, like Halle Berry, Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock, and so on, it's after they've established themselves as big names. So when someone mentions their name one doesn't think "Oh yeah, the naked chick from Such And Such" where as if I mention Shannon Elizabeth, the vast majority of people think "the naked chick from American Pie".

Though Love's name does carry weight, it as yet doesn't usher the respect that is garnered to the likes of Rene Zellwegger and others I mentioned. Her time will come though. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I don't think Sandra Bullock has ever done nudity -- I read an interview with her where she was very funny, very self-effacing, saying she would never appear topless because she was afraid people would point and laugh! Maybe she has shown her naked rear end (which I don't think is that big a deal), but I don't think she has ever been topless or shown her naked "front." I don't think I'm wrong on this ... but I might be. And not to be a perv or anything, but if Sandra did show her naked top or front, in what movie? I like her a lot and have seen a lot of her movies but don't recall nudity.

Ok for us guys, I can definitely admit i would love to see Love's ta-ta's and see her do a nude scene... HOWEVER, i dont think its the right move for her. Look at Elizbeth Berkley and Showgirls, before it came out, it was supposed to make her a star but instead it ruined her career. Same with Shannon Elizabeth, she got famous for being naked and now she cant get a real movie role which she shouldnt, she cant act but Love is a great actress. Instead of a riske role, i think Love should do a movie like a Lost In Translation, that type of thing to get the big credit she deserves. Thats just all my opinion of course.

If JLH were to do a nude scene she wouldn't be known as the naked chick. She is well enough known to be known for much more than that.Also, Witherspoon,Paltrow and Theron, all got naked in thier first movies and they are all respected actresses.

IMO, Love hasn't established herself as a large star yet. Familiarity isn't really enough. We've gone over this tired old subject hundreds of times now. Nudity in a movie does not mean anyone is elevated anywhere. The name-dropping of actors who have done nude scenes and gone on to success just doesn't mean a thing. Most of those stars have delivered SIGNIFICANTLY strong prior performances in SIGNIFICANTLY better movies. Most of the nude scenes that are even remotely respected in ANY manner were in quality films. Gratuitous nudity/sex scenes in cheap films just means more ammunition for the critics. Most of those scenes and roles are crap. Those few scripts that contain great stories are likely to be few and far between. I'm quite sure Love has declined hundreds of these cheap roles. She's too beautiful not to have been offered skin roles over and over. Christ man, they had a gigantic billboard in Los Angeles that only showed Love's chest for ISKWYDLS. It was a simple flick with a simple sequel that repeatedly zoomed in on Love's physical attributes. It happened again in Hearbreakers but that movie actually had a story and a great cast. Let's hope she may have learned from those experiences or if she's tempted by big money for some questionable roles. I could care less either way. Whatever she chooses to do is fine with me.

Jennifer will do nude when she feels it is comfortable. Also if the scene in the movie is neccassry to portray the character. I believe nudity can be done well. Take American Beauty even you didn't see much they used it to show how much of a pedstral Kevin Spacey's character put Mena Suvari on. Then when the chance to filful his desires to be with Mena he realised she was still a fragile young woman.
I don't think that if she appears nude in a movie it will change my opinion of her. Personally I'd rather Jennifer do some more darker roles as a complex woman. Like pyshco thriller or a good dark drama.

I remember hearing on some entertainment news magazine show that Sandra had nude scenes in a 1990 movie called "Fire On The Amazon."

I thought Julia did show a little nudity in "Pretty Woman"? Wasn't there a scene where one of her breasts were briefly shown? I thought it was the scene where she and Richard Gere's character were making out on top of a piano. Or maybe it was the tub scene. Then again, I haven't seen that movie in years.

Julia Roberts had a stand-in for that small skin scene in Pretty Woman. Roberts hasn't done any nude scene. Now that she's a mom it may never happen at all.

Bullocks has been very negative about nudity so I doubt there was anything remotely revealing in any movie and if there was one it was likely one of these same stand-ins too.
