| ok i watched spider-man 2 DVD couple days ago and as i was watching the movie i was thinking like "why the hell is Love not in the spider-man films?". she would have been perfect in the role of MJ and could have played the part just as good or prob better then kirsten dunst. also she could have been a great redhead too!! :D if i remember correctly, Love was mentioned as one of the young actresses they considered for the role but i don't think she even got a chance to audition for the part. i doubt it if she turned it down or something. a huge holiday season DVD and i get kirsten freaking dunst!! instead of Love!. grrrrrrrrrrr   it would have been so awesome for Love's name to be associated with such a huge franchise. :( :( |

Kirsten Dunst is a great actor, much more seasoned than Love. Hopefully Love will get herself a nice break like Dunst someday too. Now, more interesting to me, will they carry on and show Spiderman's vulnerabilities and complexities like his comic book image, or will they try and create a Hollywood superhero? I bet they're very tempted to alter him more in the future. [ December 15, 2004, 05:54 PM: Message edited by: i love love ] |

Love would've been great in them, but it's all good. As for the webbing, I believe in the comic books, it came out from his body like in the movies. The cartoon series on TV had him inventing them. I think they talked about it on the bonus features of the first movie DVD. |

| Too bad they are ending the spiderman franchise after the 3rd movie. They say the audience doesn't want to see anymore after that, and samr aimi isn't gonna do anymore. I think that they will see such a huge turnout at the third and realize that they need more, and you can't end his story after three, because it barely shows the complexities of the character peter parker. I also thought the first two movies were awsome, apart from the comic book. I thought they were very well done adaptations. However i would liek to see a blade/spiderman cross over movie, or punisher spiderman. Soemthing like that. I would also enjoy seeing the black cat in them. |

| Member Newbie | I think Love definitely NEEDS to be in bigger movies...Spidey would have been good, Lord of the Rings would have been great, I think that she really needs to move away from the safe roles and take on more defining charcters...either more risque (aka nudity involved, which she won't do) or move into a "big franchise" movie...it's the only way she will get bigger... |
