| Found this comment on Truth's message board on imdb.com -- I wonder if it's true. Hopefully it is, even though that means you in the UK will have to wait another 11 months for this to be in theaters ... better than having it never open! Seems strange it would take a year to fix a negative, though ... and why would it be able to open in Korea so soon if there are technical issues? Very curious. Check it out: Here's the link to the comment someone made -- this person apparently saw a screening in England, where it was originally scheduled to open on Valentine's Day this year: http://imdb.com/title/tt0407269/board/nest/16754386 |

I can't imagine Korea being given some exclusive worldwide rights to show a movie that won't be seen in any another country for a year. I'm wondering if they just dropped all the thoughts to alter the movie and took the offers from Korea as they did for If Only. Korea will have a DVD of this movie within a very short time if the movie is shown in theaters soon. Notice that person's posting at IMDB mentioned seeing this movie before Christmas. So this news may actually be from before December 2004; not having anything to do with March of this year at all. This makes more sense with the Korean Truth About Love website up and running with images from the movie poster no less. If this person saw the Korean link to the movie I have a feeling he may get real quiet real quick. |

| Well, the UK does already have a distributor (Redbus), so it will be released there sometime. I really wouldn't take anything posted on a message board on imdb as the stone cold truth, but if it is accurate, the issue may be that they want the release to tie in to Valentine's day not that it wouldn't be ready to be shown before then. Since it is an indie, all the distributors are separate, so the UK distributors decision to hold on to it until next year might not have anything to do with what the other countries want to do, unless there was some sort of binding agreement that they would have the rights to release the film first. My guess is they did, but it might have been time limited. All guesses on my part. All I know is I hope something comes out in the US before the end of the year, dang it. | "The Truth About Love" is an independently financed film -- they might have raised some of their funds by pre-selling foreign distribution rights. So even though there appears to be a delay in Redbus releasing this film in the UK, the Korean film distributor probably wants to capitalize on the popularity of "If Only" as quickly as possible. Makes sense. I just hope you in the UK and we in the US get to see this on the big screen, as well as on Koren DVD! |

| Hmm, just checked out the guys post on IMDB. The way he says he got to see it 'through a mate' makes me think that he may have gone to a test screening. I'm not saying that everyone should believe his story, but that is a possibility. I have been to a few test screenings of movies in the past. Just a few weeks ago i went to a test screening of Hooligans (Elijah Wood flick, filmed in the UK) and there is not much information about a release date for that movie yet. If he is correct in what his says, then i only have to ask one question.... Is it really THAT important for the movie to be released on Valentines day? |
