| About a week ago, I was able to bring some rather laughter to the fine members of the forum. I regrets me to report the following: Jennifer Love Hewitt's TV show has not been picked up for the fall schedule for ABC. In a USA Today article posted only a few hours ago, it mentions that her show did not attract the eyes of the executives and program managers of the ABC. Another somewhat shocking story is that Jessica Simpson's show also failed to make the schedule. Even though I admire her ability to capture stardom, I could personally care less for Jessica Simpson. The notion that Jennifer's show was turned down just stinks; almost as much as the current ABC schedule with few exceptions. I was afraid that something like this had the opportunity to happen following the change that ABC made in upper management recently. They have just made a major mistake by turning her show down; I'm sure many on the message board would concur. Who knows, maybe the show might get the greenlight in the mid-season (Hear's hoping). However, for this period of time, I am very upset by the choice that ABC had made and I will make it a habit to avoid ABC following the running of the Indy 500. I'm sure a boycott would do little to help their holy ratings. But in reality, I believe that Jennifer Love Hewitt has little to be disappointed with since she is on her way to show the world this year and next year the best she can offer and will definely succeed. To me, Jennifer lives life as a winner with her faultless character she plays by just being herself. She's strong since she has the strength of myself and other legions of fans to shield her from failure. We will always support Jennifer Love Hewitt to make sure everything she does is victorious. | Hmm, certainly disappointing if it doesn’t get a midseason pickup either, but the networks seemed to be whacking sitcoms left and right. Strange that most of the sitcoms with the bigger names that were developed didn't go anywhere. Funny that the other show for ABC that I saw had such “great buzz” in almost every article I read the last 2 weeks, the John Stamos show, got left out in the cold too. Oh well, if I’m not mistaken she signed a three year contract with Touchstone so I assume that they’ll go back and develop another show for her and try again next year. I wouldn’t mind seeing her try a drama series since those seem to be something networks are a little more eager for. Anyway, hopefully in the meantime, she’ll find some good movie roles to take on. On a side note,I did read that NBC confirmed in their presentation on Monday that she definitely is in “A Christmas Carol”, and that it’s supposed to start shooting in the next few weeks, so that will be something to look forward to. | From WENN News over at IMDB... Love Hewitt's Pitt Disappointment Hollywood actress Jennifer Love Hewitt has been filled with disappointment, after one of Ashton Kutcher's Punk'd pranks fooled her into believing she'd make a movie with Brad Pitt. The I Know What You Did Last Summer beauty met with an actor posing as a casting director, who excited her with the prospect of starring in a false World War II epic called Wages Of War as Pitt's sister. But her smiles were soon wiped away when the 'agent' revealed he'd lost a ton of money on a bad Super Bowl bet and his life was at risk unless he paid up immediately. When the two 'debt collectors' charged into the office, a visibly shaken Love Hewitt attempted to exit the office, moments before learning it was all just a prank. And while she was relieved to be safe, the lost opportunity to work with Pitt was clearly disappointing. While recovering from her trauma, she asked Kutcher, "I'm not really gonna get to be in a cool movie, am I? Darn it!" The episode aired in America on Sunday night. |
