Avatars?

How do you install you're own Avatar? I am not as computer savvy as some of you ladies and gents.

You can ask one of the administrators directly, they should be able to help.

To create your own custom avatar you need to have programs like Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop to be able to reduce the image to a 75 x 75 pixels size and then bring it up to a free hosting server like this one:

http://img390.imageshack.us/

Then just place the image URL address under your profile> Avatar Image> Use Custom URL.

If you want, just let me know what image you like and i'll be able to reduce it so it can fit in the avatar box. ;)

ehm i just uploaded mine and while its way too big in its origional form, it comes out just fine.

edit: now i've seen it, im not sure if i like it, its kinda small. what do y'all think?

Remember that the entire large image has to be downloaded to view the avatar, so it is better to resize it.

Also I think a face shot would work better with such a small image size. It's a great pic though. [img]graemlins/thumbs.gif[/img]
