"solid buzz" for JLH's show

I saw an article on variety.com. Can't post the link because you have to be a subscriber to log on and read the full articles, but there was a story about what pilots might be picked up for the fall. Saw this little quote and wanted to share:

Thanks for the update. During the taping the "fluffer" had mentioned that her show was definitely being touted as a winner even before it's out of the box. I hope so too! I'll say it again... ED O'NEILL RULES!

Thanks for the info. I also saw an article somewhere (also unable to link) that said along with about 3 or 4 more sitcoms(one was jess simpsons and another starred colin hanks, i think) Love's show was one of the favorites according to early 'BUZZ'

when is it like officially announced?

there are 2 reviews for the pilot at aicn.com. Sadly neither are good.

I think the networks are announcing their fall schedules next week (Mon, May 17). So Love's show could either be on ABC's fall schedule, or it could be a mid-season replacement. In some ways, I think the mid-season slot would be better. That way, you're not competing with dozens of new shows and returning favorites all in the same month or so. You have the field a little more to yourself if you debut mid-season, and you can get more press, attention and, hopefully, ratings.

a "pan" review....

and ABC has FOUR sitcoms w/sportscasters
in the works...they can't ALL succeed...

I hope this works cuz another cancellation and if garfiel is a flop...this could kill her! I hope not though..

None of it will kill her. Love will probably land on her feet again no matter what. She's been a part of several cancelled series. One more wouldn't be hard for her to face. Maybe frustrating but she has to be growing a thick skin for this type of thing.

Colin Hanks is pretty funny. Jessica Simpson's show may very likely be dropped. When I was up there for the taping of Love's show a security guy was saying how pathetic Simpson's taping was and that she couldn't even speak her lines. The taping had gone way overtime so I doubt they'll pick up a show that the star can't even handle. Simpson's certainly been surfing on her good looks and that's about all.

Hehe yeah black hair is so serious. Black hair can't be funny! It shows how shallow these critics usually are.

We can't have Love with black hair. What will we do?! What if she decides to change the color of her nails? Oh oh! [img]graemlins/dunce.gif[/img]

lol, and of course we all know that Love would never even think of doing something adventurous like changing her hair colour, so the sitcom's chances of success are basically doomed now :rolleyes: .. weirdness for sure, more than me even :D

I always love her hair color changes, well, except that one time when she had the multi-color look for the Road Trip premiere. PLUS she added those chopsticks! Even her clothes were rather scary that night too.

I think she looked fantastic with the black hair. She had a very deep tan at least that's how she appeared onstage that night. She looked absolutely beautiful. If they really think her black hair is a problem then these producers or whomever they are may be a problem as well! [img]tongue.gif[/img]
