Possible good news: D&DW close to a distribution deal?

Monday 10th May 2004: The Devil and Daniel Webster Update:
Just received word that The Devil and Daniel Webster has been rejigged with new music, new sound design, re-editing, re-mixing, re-timing, and a host of other creative and technical changes and the new version of the picture won the Festival Choice Award at the recent Naples-based Film Festival. Tricor Entertainment picked up the movie after Alec Baldwin removed his name from the director's credit. With a negative cost of roughly $27 million, the film is an expensive independent that has now garnered interest from several major studios. A deal is expected to be announced shortly.

Cool, if nothing else it will eventually be a dvd! I doubt they'd pour more money into something that would lie on a shelf. [img]graemlins/thumbs.gif[/img]

AWASOME DUDE......i remember when the trialer was posted i was like wow dude great movie.........too bad it went poof and now there is hope......what scares me is that I said the movie would get out when the Bengals won the super bowl lol casue of all the legal stuff...scary thought but either way cool

That's great news. There were times when I didn't think we were going to get to see this movie. I agree with I love love, worse case scenario we are looking at straight to video. Which wouldn't bother me!!

Thanks for the info. Finally we have a good piece of news regurding this movie :D It doesn't look like it'll be straight to dvd and video, if they've done that much to the film. Fingers crossed it'll get a cinema release.
