CBS Brings 'Home' a Friday Win

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Fast National ratings for Friday, Nov. 25, 2005

On a post-Thanksgiving night when several networks offered up the TV equivalent of leftovers, CBS won the ratings battle with a batch of fresh episodes.

CBS averaged a 7.5 rating/13 share in primetime Friday, easily beating second-place NBC's 5.5/10. ABC, 4.1/7, came in third, followed by FOX at 3.2/6. UPN took fifth with a 2.8/5, and The WB trailed with a 1.6/3.

Among adults 18-49, CBS' 3.3 rating led the way. NBC finished second at 2.6, followed by FOX, 2.1, and ABC, 2.0. UPN averaged 1.5 and The WB 1.0.

"Ghost Whisperer" put CBS on top at 8 p.m. with a 7.3/14. NBC was second with the Nicolas Cage movie "The Family Man," 4.9/9. "Supernanny" was third for ABC. FOX scored a 3.0/5 with "Star Wars: Episode II -- Attack of the Clones," edging the 2.7/5 for "Friday Night Smackdown!" on UPN. The WB went with repeats of "What I Like About You" and "Reba."

CBS stayed in the lead at 9 p.m. with "Close to Home," 7.4/13. NBC's movie held onto second, while ABC averaged 3.4/6 with "Hope & Faith" and "Hot Properties." FOX was right behind with a 3.3/6 for "Attack of the Clones." "Smackdown!" improved slightly for UPN, holding off The WB's "Reba" and "Twins," which averaged 1.7/3.

At 10 p.m., "Numb3rs" drew the night's highest rating, 7.9/14, for CBS. "The Family Man" concluded with a 5.9/11 for NBC, and ABC's "20/20" posted a 5.1/10. Numbers for the final hour of "Attack of the Clones" on FOX weren't available.
