Love's Valentine to her cast and crew

As a happy birthday wish to Love, I want to pass on this instance of generosity which shows her great spirit.

Jennifer Love Hewitt has been busy living up to her middle name.

She's got a new boyfriend – Scottish actor Ross McCall.

And she's making sure her "Ghost Whisperer" co-stars aren’t lonely on
Valentine's Day.

"My job around here, other than playing Melinda, is being everyone's den
mother and making sure they are happy and well taken care of," Jennifer told
Access.

Cue the cupcakes, cards and candy!

With a name like Jennifer Love, who better to help her hard working crew
spread some Valentine's Day sweetness than the "Ghost Whisperer" star
herself.

"I didn't want their wives to be forgotten about," she smiled. "I get in
trouble because I don't want them to be like 'Listen, my husband is spending
a lot of time on 'Ghost Whisperer' and I'm getting nothing on Valentine's
Day. What's up?'"

So with the help of event designer Erinn Valencich, Jen and her castmates
Aisha Tyler and David Conrad treated the crew to sprinkles cupcakes,
Valentine's Day cards from Found Image Press and gift bags filled with Jaqua
bath products and Nestle chocolates.

"It looks great," Jen told Erinn.

"Love it," Valencich smiled.

I think that the cast and crew would have preferred to receive a cash bonus instead of soap and chocolates,especially since the show is doing so well in the ratings !!!

No doubt that is true Peter, but even as a producer of the show I doubt that Love has any control of how the cast is paid (probably all set up in their contracts). Maybe when she gets to be a really, really big star she can have some say in this. For now Love settles for cupcakes with sprinkles. :rolleyes:

Maybe it's just me, but I liked some of the little things like treats now and then where I worked. I say "Hats off to Love" (and may she wear more of them on future episodes).

maybe, but Valentine's day is not about expensive gifts nor money. it's a way to show your appreciation of your friends and loved ones.
