Tornado!

Hello, All. Shortly after I posted my Music Mania thread on Wednesday night, my neighborhood was hit by a tornado. The electricity has just come back on and I wanted all of you to know why I haven't uploaded the Music Mania file. Things are still a mess around here. I'll try to upload the file later tonight.

Friends, family and neighbors are all safe and sound. I'll get back to you ASAP.

Don't worry about it. We're just glad to hear you're okay. How big was it? It's just that we don't get tornado's over here. Just rain, and lots of it :(

I agree, don't worry about it. All of us here just hope you and your family are okay. We don't get many tornado's in Canada.

I haven't seen anything in the press that would indicate the tornado's size. F-1, F-2 etc. Every house on my block has at least one large tree down. Man, I hate to see old-growth hardwoods go down. Some houses and vehicles were damaged by falling trees and a number of telephone-poles were snapped off. A block or two east of here, the damage was worse. A handful of small businesses and homes are now missing their roofs.

Property damage is high but I haven't heard of a single person being injured. It all happened really fast. We were having a thunder-storm but that's not news when you live this close to the lake. The wind really picked up, the lights went out and I could hear trees snapping & crashing in every direction........ and then it was quiet except for the thunder and rain.

I lived in NC for 16 years and I've seen hurricanes do far more damage but I never had a hurricane sneak up on me!

im glad youre okay. a tornado...wow! all we get is just loads and loads of rain. most of the times and even in the summer its like 75%rain! take care! love, Jennifer

Jeez, all varieties of storms hitting people this week. Glad to hear all is well though. Just watch for airborn cows and red slippers. [img]graemlins/thumbs.gif[/img]
