| Goda's FilmMates hits Croisette with 10 titles Jeremy Kay in Cannes 11 May 2005 04:00 From: screendaily.com Alan Goda's Los Angeles-based finance, production and distribution outfit FilmMates Entertainment is hitting the Croisette for the first time with 10 titles that feature the likes of Susan Sarandon, Jeremy Irons, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Shirley MacClaine. The company plans to finance, produce and release eight to 10 pictures a year budgeted at up to $30m, and holds all rights on all its titles. FilmMates executive vice president of production and distribution Jeanette Buerling will commence sales on the titles at Cannes, seven of which are expected to go into production by autumn this year and are: Tent Hill Road, an action-adventure starring Jeremy Irons and Simon Baker to be directed by Bruce Beresford. Good Sharma, a comedy-drama based on a true story, starring Susan Sarandon and to be directed by Suri Krishnamma. Finders Keepers, a fast-paced romantic comedy starring Jennifer Love Hewitt. Sister Eileen, a comedy starring Shirley MacClaine and rapper Bow Wow to be directed by Mark Rydell. The Girls, a sexy comedy starring Paris Hilton, who is scheduled for a Cannes appearance. Asphalt, a thriller starring Thomas Kretschmann, Stephen Dorff and Juergen Prochnow, and Fort McCoy, a second world war period drama starring Aidan Quinn, Jeremy Piven and Thora Birch, directed by Paul Quinn. The three completed titles are: Aunt Agatha's Apartment, a screwball comedy set in New York starring Melissa Joan Hart, Carmen Electra and Ryan Browning, directed by David Eric Brenner. Young Sherlock, a thriller starring James D'Arcy, Vincent D'Onofrio and Gabrielle Anwar, directed by Graham Theakston, and Living Life, 17-year old writer-director Jesse HarrisŐs debut. | Always a wonderful thing to hear about Jennifer getting more work. It means mo money for her, more chances to show the world she is as great as we here all know her to be, more premieres to go to which also means more pictures of her for us to see. There's one man's opinion on Jennifer Love Hewitt getting work. Until next time I am out! |

| With no guarantee that her potential new TV series will get picked up, I'm glad that she's still getting offered big screen roles. Plus, the chances of this upcoming movie getting released in the U.S. and hopefully many other countries sounds very good. A romantic comedy really suits her well, so I'm sure she's going to do great. |
