| Junior Member ![]() ![]() | In the new issue of Entertainment Weekly they have an article about making the runaway bride's story into a movie with Love as the bride. I don't know if they are serious or tongue in cheek but I don't see that at all. Sorry I can't attach the article but I don't have a scanner. |

| 1. JLH is no Julia Roberts; JR's film can't be remade so soon! 2. Don't make fun of JIMMY KIMMEL; I was on his show 5/20/04 (doing a song called "The H.L. Twist" (I couldn't get the parody song "Jennifer Love Hewitt" on, because that segment required an ORIGINAL tune,UNDER 3 minutes long... Odd, though, how Jimmy Kimmel and Bill Murray were at the Belmont Shore (Long Beach, CA.) horse races or something when "Garfield" pre- miered secretly on the Fox movie lot...LOL! |

Kimmel's a goofball, hardly of the caliber of his competition. I still like him nonetheless, pretty darn funny. I suppose I was originally put-off by him on his pathetic prior tv show, The Man Show. Is he still going out with Sarah Silverman? Now SHE IS awesome. [ May 07, 2005, 06:51 PM: Message edited by: i love love ]

ur right about The Man Show. i first saw tht like couple yrs ago and i thought it was a complete garbage. he and adam corrola.. :D wht a nice combo there :D i think i remember when i was watching Heartbreakers and listening to the commentary, the director mentioning tht they kinda had a thought of expanding sarah silverman's character as a lesbian or something who was interested in Love. i'm not sure exactly wht the director said on the commentary, but it wasn't much. i wonder if any of u heard tht or not.

Silverman's quite another story, a blue comic, so she may never find a big following. They even gave her a sitcom a while back, which failed miserably. They attempted to doll her up (and she is a beautiful woman) but that's not what Silverman is all about, so they missed the mark entirely. I remember all that silliness on Heartbreakers. It would have been great to have Silverman take on a larger role. I wonder if they didn't want to overshadow Jason Lee's role though. He was so good, why add to the whole restaurant/bar sub-plot? Who knows. |

</font>[/quote]Ah yes...the JLH parody song our friend Ron wrote? Yo, only thing I got to say about that one is this. Growing up listening to "Weird" Al Yankovic and seeing every music video parody the FOX sketch comedy series In Living Color ever did (including the controversial Michael Jackson video "Am I Black or White?" and Jim Carrey's turn as Connie Chung in the Maury Povich/Connie Chung parody of 2 Live Crew's "Me So Horny" entitled "Maury, Me So Horny I Wanna Baby") I look at it this way. Get me a copy of Ron's JLH parody song and let me determine for us all how bad it really is. I mean come on guys it can't be that bad. Until next time I am out!

If you want to shell out your money on that song then the Mayor of the Sunset Strip soundtrack CD is for sale or special order at most record/cd stores. Some of the other tracks on the disc are actually interesting including a rare David Bowie song. Your determination will be like mine, mere opinion. Some parodies may get a giggle and Yankovic is one of the very best. This particular song is completely void of humor, grimly sung against one of The Moody Blues' old melodies. |

| The mention of a movie with JLH was tongue-in-cheek. EW does this all the time with big news stories. They fit actors that best resemble the people involved in the story. I guess they thought Love was the closest to resembling her with the long brown hair. It wasn't a remake of the Julia Roberts movie Ron. You see there is this real life runaway bride that you probably haven't heard of unless you've read a newspaper, turned on the TV, logged onto the internet, or read entertainment mags. That's the story they are referring to, not the Julia Roberts movie. |
