Was JLH the original Avril?

No. and Yes.

They are kind of similar looking but Avril is sexier but not by much. Love is a better actress than Avril but Avril has just started acting. Avril is a much better singer and songwriter than Love. Love is a more grounded person than Avril. Avril is a bit too wild. Love could be a little more wild. They both have great bodies but the edge goes to Avril. In the long term, Avril has the chance to have a far bigger career than Love. She is already more famous and much younger than Love.

It shows that there is a limited repertoire in portrait motives. A long time ago I made a similar thread about Sarah Michelle Gellar and Sharon Tate -- two actresses which actually don't look alike at all. Still I found some pictures with remarkable resemblences. (clicky)

I actually never noticed that LJH and Avril Lavigne look a bit alike and always though Lavigne resembles Sarah Michelle Gellar a little, but now I really see some common features with JLH too. It's probably because I never associated them with each other. See I never liked Lavigne, although she's very talented and very beautiful. I find her self-confidence scary and maybe the fact that she's younger than me. JLH on the other hand has a nicer, "smoother" image and doesn't represent someone to be afraid of.

I don't think they look alike, but the similarity in poses is too much like coincidence to me.

Avril might be younger but that's about it.... :rolleyes:

To be fair Avril has won several Grammy awards and many other awards around the world. I'm sure Love would very much like to have a music career on the same level as Avril.

The same could be said of Avril's acting career in comparison to Love or the Ronald McDonald clown, none of this matters. They're both wonderful performers in their own right, neither will likely branch out very far in the other career.
