Susan Duff, the teen's mother, will be the executive producer on the project, slated for the 2004-5 season.
The star of the films "The Lizzie McGuire Movie" and "Agent Cody Banks," was the focus of an intense bidding war among several networks, the Post said.
There's no guarantee a pilot will be shot, but CBS will pay a penalty if it isn't, sources told the Post.
CBS confirmed the deal but declined to discuss details.
Later this month, Duff begins a U.S. concert tour.
