Tween Pop Princess Trades Up Again for New Digs

[Still Dirrty]

When multi-media pop sensation Hilary Duff first arrived in Tinseltown six years ago,
she and her mom and sister played it safe and took an apartment at the famed home-away-from-home for aspiring Hollywood tots and others, the Oakwood Apartment complex in Burbank.

When Ms. Duff first landed "Lizzie McGuire", the family, sans Dad who stays in Texas most of the time, moved up to a rented townhouse in nearby Toluca Lake.

After "Lizzie McGuire" was an assured hit with 65 episodes ordered,
it was move up time once again. This time, the family purchased a modest, but spacious Spanish two-story home in the same town. Sister Haylie lived out back in the guest house. For the first couple of years, the property was not gated, but after reported stalker issues associated with Hilary's skyrocketing celebrity status, a solid fence and gate were added.

And now we have clear evidence that Hilary Duff is indeed continuing to move up in the world. The family has purchased a palatial, gated, lake front Spanish villa complete with turret valued at approximately $2.8 million and located two doors down from Kirsten Dunst's old digs.

This fortress is sure to keep out nosy paparazzi, various assorted stalkers and the odd egg-pelting teen pop rival. And why shouldn't she trade up residences? Reportedly taking in $2 million last year, the multi-tasking teen's earnings could easily top $10 million this year. Her fee is now reportedly $2 million per movie and she has three new films in various stages of production. Her first CD, Metamorphosis is multi-platinum with another album due out this summer. She has her own clothing, accessory, and pet supply lines and several other lucrative endorsements such as Visa pre-paid cards and a kids' video player. The young mogul may not have much time to enjoy lounging lakeside in her backyard though. She is currently in Toronto shooting A Perfect Man and will be going on tour to continue to promote Metamorphosis and her new album this summer.

Ahhhhhh!!!!........Its cool that shes buying a kicka$$ house but man...thats kinda a big reason i liked her...she lived in a regular neighborhood in a regular house and she didnt liek to use her money on big things...kinda sucks. But I wouldnt mind that house tho lol.

Whats extremely weird is, when we go to LA we are going to move into lakeside property (in the same area as we live now), When we go there in June-July'ish. Now this is just odd, I think shes copying us! LOL, but anyways good for her, it's about time they start living it up! I mean why not? But I can't believe they didn't have a fence and gate at first, I mean we HAD an electric gate and fence and none of us is famous (yet) Who knows, we might end up with a house on the same block. Though that house in the pic looks quite small but I suppose if they all are that size we could renovate and make it larger. And once we buy lakeside property (dad's looking as we speak) I can take the sea doo's out right off our backyard (saves the drive) And you all know now, yes It's Toluca Lake (Phil and Krispy already knew that but I swore them to secrecy) and as for announcing that it is in fact Toluca Lake where she lives, that could be a security risk and I dont think that was a brilliant idea. But anyways, Go Hilary! :D

I agree lol yeah me to. Somethen tells me this place won't last long though. I give it two years max. She's becoming more and more of a main strem celeb every day. It was bound to happen.(Hollwood always snaps up the good talents faster.) But I still miss the hilary from series one of lizzie. :( she pretty much WAS just a regular kid back then. But... ..Spose she wasn't that far off with "metamorphosis" then was she. lol [img]tongue.gif[/img]

that is good that she is buying things she wants and some10 for safty but she better make shure she puts about a 3rd of her erning every year cuz she want b an entertainer for every :(

Of course she deserves it, I on the other hand havent done anything, but then again technically I dont own the property either. Oh well Hil rocks!

Well why shouldn't she be allowed to have a little more space and some more freedom from not only the media who waits to pounce on actresses like Hilary,just on the off chance that they can catch photos that will get the photographers [not that they are all that way],more money?
Besides,despite how Lindsay Lohan says there is 'no feud',why would there be a need to take a cheap shot at Hilary on SNL,even if it was 'in fun' and Hilary was quoated as saying 'I like that I was dressed all in pink.'
Hilary has also been quoted [as I read on Hilary Duff House],that she has no ill feelings towards Avril.
Biggest reason for the move?

That's sad if that's one of the main resons they're moving. Man if I had anything to do with security (and good thing I don't :D ) around the duff's current residents anyone that I thought resembled a stalker (I ausure you) would not be returning for haylie to spot. Thoughs kinda sick'n twisted people make my blood boil. [img]graemlins/flame.gif[/img] I understand the media being their, that's their job and their just trying to get by.
