According to tvtome.com the next new episode wont be until Jan.12 in the new year. This is a little spoiler about that episode called Family Dynamics:

After Amy runs away to her grandparent's house, she tries to devise a compromise with her parents on seeing Tommy and hopefully returning home. Andy finds himself in a tough spot when a woman patient wants to get pregnant through in-vitro fertilization with sperm from her first husband, who is now dead, but her second husband is having a real problem over the matter.

That sounds cool...too bad we have to wait over a month to see it :(

awsome thanks for the information. I really hope that Tommy stays in Everwood and that he and Amy stay together.

I hope so,

Tommy should add a new twist into everwood. The grandmother(Edna) is really having a tough war at home with Linda having AIDS and Amy now seeking aslyum.

I want to see how delia is going to treat dr. brown after that kiss with linda.

her axe murder expression face was really putting the fear into me.

Unfortunely, we've entered close to theholidays, so some networks figure no one is going to have the time to watch the show because of the holiday shopping and so on.

January is better, everyone is back to "normal". Also it gives a chance for the network to rebroadcast some episode to get people caught up as well as to see if new members are watching.

I was thinking of more of a poison his food direction, but hey, either works

They haven't really disclosed much about Tommy yet, other than the bad: [ex]Drug addict, kicked out of school,etc... though they seem to be making him out to be a good person: he handled himself with Dr.Abbot quite well.

I agree, Tommy did handle himself with the Abott's family at the dinner table. Most people would've gotten more offensive towards Dr. Abbott.

But, either he's a good actor (to fool everyone) or he's really trying to put himself back on track. Here's a thought with Dr. Abbott, being a doctor in the town, I would thought he be good friends with a cop. And if tommy's such a bad boy, he would surely have many red flags with the dept...
my thought...

But I think Abbott has a very bad egotistical personality that sometimes hinders good judgement. (7000 dollars at a casino is enough proof).

Again with the January date, it may be just tentative.
But December is a bad month to show new episodes.
Attendance is down and way down.

Here in NYC, many of the younger crowd (which everwood targets heavily, and most fans are the younger generation) are working for the holidays for extra money for gifts.. Not to mention, some are college students and this is the month of final exams and presentations. So everyone is in a frenzy over that and on a clock.

Most older crowds are shopping, working overtime, and making travel arrangement for the holidays.

So pretty much the networks are playing safe by just waiting to after the holidays.

Or maybe they just want to keep us in a torture state in waiting for what's going to happen next.

I found another synopsis of the next episode...
its a bit more detailed:

When Andy's relationship with Delia is threatened after he breaks his promise not to date Linda Abbott, he decides to take his daughter on a special bonding trip to regain her trust. Andy is also surprised by Ephram's emotional reaction to the relationship with Linda. Meanwhile, Andy finds himself in a tough spot when a woman patient wants to get pregnant through in-vitro fertilization with sperm from her first husband, who is now dead, but her second husband is having a real problem over the matter. The Abbott family is still in turmoil when Amy decides to live with Edna and Irv, rather than playing by her parents' rules.
