| Member ![]() | http://www.variety.com/article/VR111...goryid=14&cs=1 I'll just copy n paste the FOX part... Fox is on a supernatural high with two reality-bending dramas virtually in the can. Twentieth Century Fox TV's "The Oaks," from scribe David Schulner and exec producer Shawn Ryan, follows three couples who lived in the same house in different eras: 1967, 1987 and 2007. It was shot right as the strike began in early November. "Fringe," J.J. Abrams' highly anticipated new TV endeavor, is lensing now. The Warner Bros. TV project, co-written by Abrams and his frequent collaborators Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, revolves around a femme FBI agent who confronts paranormal activity and tries to stop the spread of unexplained phenomena. Net is also high on drama "The FBI," the Imagine TV project that's being produced with the full cooperation of the governmental agency. Two other dramas likely to get priority treatment from Fox, if the scripts can be wrangled in the next few weeks, are "Queen Bee," from 20th and "Nip/Tuck" creator Ryan Murphy; and the reunion of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer's" Joss Whedon and Eliza Dushku in "Dollhouse," also for 20th. |

| Junior Member ![]() ![]() ![]() | I know that Eliza said the minute the strike was over she would go start work on Dollhouse. Given that there's a lot of talk that the strike is over, it seems like Dollhouse might finally be on its way. Thank god!! I can't wait to see Eliza on my television weekly again!! Especially since she's put so much work into getting healthy and looking so fabulous! |

| Eliza's SO ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I watched Tru last night on Foxtel and as much as I love anything Eliza I get to see I just wanted something new. I know I saw Sex and Breakfast a few weeks ago but I wat something new and something better than that! (Not that Eliza was bad, everything else around her stunk) Thanks for the update. I am glad it is a priority for them. If they are filming will it effect the Buffy Reunion? Ooooh maybe at the Reunion someone can mention getting Sarah on for an episode where her character and Echo are involved in some way! |

| Junior Member ![]() ![]() | Yeah, as I thought, there has been no actual writing during the strike, because that would be unstrikely :P http://www.whedon.info/Joss-Whedon-D...ies,25967.html Quote:

| The writers' strike is officially over LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Striking Hollywood writers will be back at their keyboards Wednesday after voting overwhelmingly to end a 100-day walkout that essentially shut down the entertainment industry. More than 92 percent of the Writers Guild of America members who cast ballots Tuesday in Los Angeles and New York voted to end their work stoppage over residuals for writing in the digital age, including new media and the Internet. The new deal is for three years. http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/TV/0...ion=cnn_latest Well, at last This means that Dollhouse will be aired as soon as April. YAY! |

By KEVIN WILLIAMSON, SUN MEDIA Eliza Dushku may finally be welcoming viewers to her Dollhouse. The former Buffy The Vampire Slayer actress had announced plans to co-produce and star in a new action-drama from her Buffy creator Joss Whedon mere days before Hollywood's scribes went on strike last November. Now with the writers off the picket lines, Dollhouse is presumably back on track for a fall launch. "Joss is a friend. I love him. We want to play hard. We're excited," she tells Sun Media. Whedon, returning to TV for the first time since the short-lived science-fiction western Firefly, came up with the concept for Dollhouse while he and Dushku were having lunch. "Everyone, if they're smart, is looking for a writer who gets it and brings it," she says. "I've had a long career and the important thing is the creative relationships I have with the people I work with, and to have it go beyond just business ... You make friends and allies." In Dollhouse, Dushku will star as Echo, a government agent whose personality and memories are wiped clean at the end of every assignment. Fox has already ordered seven episodes. For Dushku, the series marks more than her reunion with Whedon -- it's also the first project she's produced under her budding Boston Diva shingle. "I just turned 27 and I feel like I'm branching out into who I want to be in this business." | ||
