Now I've got news on THE ALPHABET KILLER!

I sent an email to WideEye Films, the company that produced it, asking if we should expect a straight-to-DVD release or if it was going theatrical.

The movie is being sold right now to distribution companies and it is LOOKING GOOD!
This is what they sent me:

We're selling it now. hope to have a theatrical...Looks like we will.

best

News about ON BROADWAY!!!

'Broadway' in Mass.
Boston filmmaker Dave McLaughlin's movie "On Broadway" - which stars Joey McIntyre, Eliza Dushku, Will Arnett, and Amy Poehler - is getting a run in local theaters. "After the reception it got at the various film festivals, we thought it deserved an actual shot in theaters," McLaughlin told us yesterday. The film's financial backers are funding a two-week run starting March 14 at five theaters, including West Newton Cinema and the Somerville Theatre. At the March 12 screening to benefit the Joey Fund, McLaughlin and actor-producer Lance Greene will join the film's leading lady, Jill Flint, and actors Mike O'Malley, Lucas Caleb Rooney, and Bob Wahlberg and his son, Oscar.

HUNDREDS of new pictures, from Sundance and New York, a new Nobel Son poster, a Nobel Son release date, Open Graves gets a distribution deal, On Broadway gets a limited theatrical release, The Alphabet Killer is being sold RIGHT NOW. IT IS blowing up!!!

Things may get even better for Open Graves:

Voltage Pictures, started by Chartier and Dean Devlin in 2005, just wrapped the Kathryn Bigelow-directed "The Hurt Locker," and will be in Berlin repping "Phoebe in Wonderland," "Spread" and the horror pic "Open Graves."

I mean seriously. When I first saw the sexy footage of her in Nobel Son I knew I wanted to see it bad, and it meant literally waiting 16 months, such bullcrap. It's like waiting for "New Guy" all over again.

IMDB now confirms April 4 as the release date for Nobel Son and March 14 for the limited release of On Broadway. Also on April 4, On Broadway will premiere at the Phoenix Film Festival.

I wonder if the uk/europe will get the films around the same time? I would imagine nobel son as the better chance of a uk cinema release because of alan rickman?

There will be a big distributor screening next week in LA to sell The Alphabet Killer. Hopefully this one will also make it to theaters.

Nobel Son's release has been postponed to September, three years after the movie was shot.

I think it's completely ridiculous to delay a movie like this. I've lost almost all of my interest in seeing it now.
