| Nicely put Tash. They are stalkers who get paid for it. But I don't think that if celebs ever sued those magazines that would put them out of business. I believe this whole matter has three sides: (the celeb), (the papparazzi and the tabloid), and (the public). The most powerful force that could actually make a change is the public. Because they/we are the ones asking for this and buying this tabloid crap just so that we could catch a glimpse of our favorite star and see what they've been up to. It's like watching a reality show either when we buy the tabloids or when we watch their news on TV. Admit it, we all get a rush from seeing someone like Eliza shopping or eating, we start talking about what she's wearing, who she's with, how sweet is that move or how funny is that one.... we are her loyal fans, and we love her no matter what. But there are people out there who thrive on gossip, and the media gives them what they want on the expense of other people's privacy. As for the celebs, there are the self-obsessed "wanna-bes" who believe their value is measured only by how much attention they are making. And the other real talents who just want to work hard and earn people's respect. I strongly believe that Eliza is of the second group. But those too get bothered by the papps because the papps do not differentiate, and only care about making a quick and easy buck. |

This means that a lot of the time people who aren't close to them are not only changing them through the act of personal perception and belief but through the act of perceiving them through someone else or something else and in doing so may lessen what they know of the real person But I really think its enormous to handle all those people unless that is something that you are gifted at doing and another aspect I have thought about is where your publicity becomes bigger than you. It must be hard to ponder something so big and on a personal level know how much control you really have vs how much you may easily feel you have when there are so many things geared around what you do. |

| Eliza's SO ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I dont know how I would handle it...I hate people not liking me and if they were writing trash about me like they do about many celebs then I think I would go mad. I think it would just be easier to ignore it than to enter in to it in anyway...it would drive you bonkers if you worried about it all the time |

| I remember I read it somewhere that Eliza said her step father Emails her only good reviews and fans' posts and stuff like that. Just not sure where I read that. So there is a chance she ignores negative stuff written about her, if any. |

| Junior Member ![]() ![]() | Hmmm yes I don't think I have ever seen a bad word posted on here, there was once someone who was interested in what her shoes size was or something, a little creepy but thats it, probably because the mods do such a great job in laying down the rules! |

| Junior Member ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It's funny. I look at the pics and watch the videos if it is Eliza because she is my favourite actress but I never go out of my way to find candids or whatever and I really feel that if they weren't there then people wouldn't miss them. Yes there is a real market and people want to know but if they didn't have quite so much of it then I think they would just get by without it. I worry sometimes seeing how hounded some celebs get and I can't help but worry that it might take someone getting hurt for something to be done to go against it. Even so, Eliza seems to handle it very well indeed. ![]() |
