| shizickle boiiiii! ![]() ![]() ![]() | why thank you!! I just watched it, i forgot how good it was, i had to forward all the adam BS, but i never really noticed how good both smg and ed are at picking up on each others manerisms. I liked sarah's little boston twang on "about", also her legs in the bath scene....ok well thats not really character study, but she has great legs. Eliza did the same, btw wtf is a stevedore? Do we know yet? I can't remember the line exactly but it when she was in the truck tryna explain to the watcher idiots that she was buffy. She said something like "you HAVE to do etc etc", the way she did it was bang on Buffy. Also "inching, Giles your inching"!!! James was just hot as usual, i loved that S7 spike remembered the lines and threw em back at Faith to squirm at! Riley Finn...oh jesus, ya know, i just don't get it. He's so good looking, and so sweet, so why the **** do i want him to trip and fall on his gun and shoot his own head off? I think its one of those Joss mysteries we aint supposed to get. What else...errr stevedore? covered that right? Willow and Tara, ya know i wasnt a fan of them as a couple in s4, it just didnt feel real until " The Body". I liked the more confident, sexy Tara that came from s6. I kinda missed Willow with Oz. Oh yeah speaking of, i LOVE how Faith spots right off the bat that theres something more between the witches. And i also love in the opening credits how it says "Eliza Dushku as Buffy" i dunno why! I just do! The fight scene at the end in the church always breaks my heart, when Buffy switches them back, and Faith gets scared and runs after letting out all the abuse to her own image. I think even after all of this Buffy still felt sympathy for Faith, its a shame it turned into anger when she went to LA, understandable but a shame. |

As for Reily, yeah I'm with you on that one. You picked out the reason why I love this ep, the way Sarah and Eliza pick up eatch other's mannerisms in playing the other's role. I thought it was excellent how they did that and showed how good actressed they both are. |

| Member ![]() ![]() | doesnt a stevedore mean *unloading* something....i think it does....bad visual place. As for the ep itself, I believe i'm in the minority of not really liking it all that much. It had nothing to do with the acting as Eliza was impressive (albeit not in it all that much unfortunately) SMG to me at least seemed sort of....carttony i guess the word would be, but i'm not all that big of a fan of hers as some other people on here are so maybe it's just me. Honestly, my favorite part of the ep was that it was Tara who figured out that Buffy wasn't Buffy. Plus as has been sais before Faith picking up on W/T vibes, loved that. |

| Kiss My Pom Poms ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I found some cool trivia related to this episode: Face/Off: The Nic Cage and John Travolta body-swap thriller is referenced numerous times. Producer David Fury wanted to call the two-parter Faith/Off. Faith as Buffy arguing with herself in the mirror echoes Robert DeNiro in Taxi Driver. The Watcher's Council: They tried to kidnap Faith before (Consequences), with equally hilarious results. Willow and Tara: This week they stroke carpet. Blimey. Spike and Buffy. When Faith flirts with Spike, there's a lot of sexual tension going on. Wonder what will become of that? Cans of Film: When Buffy drives out of the Council's warehouse, we can see cans of film. Spot the re-use of a studio building. A Stevedore is a person who loads and unloads boats on the docks. They're really rather rugged. Amy Powell plays the newsreader we always see in Buffy. Good choice though - although I'd wanna watch This Years Girl too lol. ![]() Keri - I never knew about that Faith/Off thing - that's quite a cool title actually lol. Although I've never seen Face/Off so I wouldn't have picked up on the references. |

Oh and my favourite scene has to be Buffy/Giles in Giles' apartment. "For all I know she could have taken it to Mexico by now. I don't have time for bondage fun!" ![]() And when she takes out Smith in the van - bam! Awesome! Eliza rocks in this! Bring on the next lol! ![]() |
