Boy, I had to really reach back in time to find this thread!

Apparently, Faith and Giles will be back in Buffy Season 8 issue 24. Not much detail, but here's a little blurb:

Now, considering issue 19 just hit the stores (nearly 2 months late), we're looking at least six months down the road. But, it would be neat if Faith and Giles dealt with Simone, eh? I can just see Faith now:
"Simone, do you know what happened to the last rogue Slayer I dealt with?"

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER #24

In a one-shot issue, Krueger fleshes out the go-to girl for dirty deeds, Faith, and her new partner, Giles. After her last thankless escapade, where she put a stop to Buffy-hunting Slayer and kindred spirit Lady Gigi, Faith decided that though she's determined to be finished with bloodshed, she's not ready to leave misguided Slayers (like Gigi) with nowhere to turn. Fast-forward to the present . . . bloodshed still abounds, and the Faith-and-Giles team is still finding out what it really means to help those chosen to slay . . .

40 pages, $2.99, in stores on April 1.

Wow! What a beautiful cover! It's really got Eliza's looks to a tee. That gaze that she does! I'm looking forward to this one!

Ok guys, so April is coming up and that issue (#24) is about to be released. I don't know if you all have been following it but I'm just following the Faith arc. I saw on Whedon.info that they had a few panel previews out. I can't wait, the story is very amusing. It's a Faith Fix!

Thanks for posting the images Jess10. I'd seen them recently on the Dark Horse website, and was meaning to post them here.

For those who haven't followed the Buffy comic, here's a little back story to issue #24:

Faith took on a mission several issues back to kill a rogue Slayer in England who's intent on killing Buffy. Giles offers her a pension and passport to a country that will not extradite her to the US. (Remember, the redeemed Faith escaped prison to help Angel and later Buffy)

Faith goes undercover into the the rogue slayer's mansion, begins to like the rogue, and ends up getting in a battle with (of course) Buffy, through no fault of her own. Buffy is magicked to the rogue's mansion by the rogue's warlock partner and Faith knocks Buffy outside into a pool to prevent the rogue from dicing and slicing her, and the battle is on.

Faith and Buffy (who misunderstands why Faith is with the rogue slayer) battle in a pool, and Faith nearly drowns Buffy herself, but Faith's hero goodness within stops her. Buffy is magicked away by Willow, and Faith, her mission blown, is left to face the rogue slayer and her warlock alone.

Buffy is furious with Giles because he never told her about his plan, but still calls him and demands he do everything to help Faith who's at now at risk when the rogue slayer and her warlock work their mojo. Giles does his own magick and helps Faith win against the warlock. The rogue slayer is accidently killed when Faith tosses her on her own blade. Faith had come to like the rogue, and is devastated she couldn't save her without killing her.

Faith then turns down the pension and passport, and Giles offers to team with her to help other newly-minted slayers who have had problems with their chosen status.

I have a friend from Spain, and this past christmas he sent me the paperback comic book with the complete Faith arc and all the Jo chen's covers. I swear i almost fainted, I'm a graphic designer and I love Jo Chen's work for season 8, specially the one of Faith and the brick wall. I was gonna post a pdf with the 120 pgs and the Jo Chen covers but i think it's gonna be useless, it's in spanish :P

Jo's art work is amazing, I too love that Faith one by the wall, where she's spray painted her name was just great. Thanks for the recap on her previous story Tru.

Buffy Season 8 #26 “Retreat, Pt.1” is due out in the US on July 1. Faith and Giles will be among the slayers being threatened by both humans and demons.

You see, there’s been some changes. Vampires are popular with humans and slayers are hated because they kill vampires. It’s all topsy-turvy and Buffy and her slayer army are in hiding and Faith and Giles….well, they’re hiding out in an old Nazi bunker under Berlin….

Here are previews of the two alternate covers, and the first six pages. Faith is next to Buffy on the second cover, with her famous knife, and in the sixth and seventh images:
