Another announcement

The distributer has just confirmed that Open Graves is a straight to Dvd

I would have liked to have seen Open Graves in the cinemas tbh, Lindsay has taken this badly but oh well...
So I'll let you all know when I find out the release date!

or if any of you find out, please let us know!

Open Graves will have its world premiere during the Estepona's Horror Film Festival from September the 7th to September the 12th, it will be the only Spanish representative in the Official Section of the festival :D

No I hadn't heard that. That's great news. Any word on the DVD though because you know SyFy is going to cut it down but in wither case I want to see this movie. Thanks for the info.

Each to their own Jess. Personally this sounds like the kind of thing Eliza was making several years ago. She's better than this kind of formulaic "horror" dross imo. Straight to DVD for a reason...? ;)

With the whole focus on Dollhouse this has been swept under the rug. As for the film, who knows? The signs don't look good if it's still on the shelf at this time. As for Eliza's comment, I love her use of the word chap.

You're totally right about that Keri. I actually really enjoyed Wrong Turn too (keeping to the whole horror theme). However, I really am a horror buff.

Wrong Turn was gool, as it was like the old style horror. No flash effects, just good ol' gore.

hey everyone!

I have just come back from Estepona, Spain from watching Open Graves!!
the film is as good as I hoped it to be! even better!! :D
I watched it with a bunch of my cousins and friends at the director's film festival :D
I loved everyone's perfomances, including Eliza's and my cousin Lindsay's

I am trying to find out when the release date for the dvds will be....

Good question Gianni. As far as I know no date has yet been set for DVD release here in the US, but I recently checked the TV grid for SyFy Network in the US, the film is scheduled to be shown September 19th at 9:00 Eastern time. Not sure when that translates into showing in the UK or Europe.

Well... ok.

I just saw Open Graves, and it was "okay". Very typical and very predictable. It's one of those movies that you finish watching because it has your favorite actor in it.

On the upside, I also saw The Alphabet Killer (not tonight) and that movie was AWESOME.

I saw it too and I acutally really liked it. My sister and I were so grossed out and scared at the same time. It was good, we really enjoyed it!! Eliza of course was great in it.

Haha, that's awesome. Yeah there were a lot of gross/intense parts. I also the Eliza's co-lead guy did a great job too (acting wise).
