| Kiss My Pom Poms ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm surprised to hear the were releasing it in October and have only now hit a problem. Most of the schedules for this year are done, and OG hadn't appeared on any of them :/ Would be good to see it soon though, tbh right now I don't really care if it goes straight to DVD. |

It seems the scene involves some giant fireflies and they try to achieve a realistic scene... And this delay is keeping the postproduction stucked. And at least in Spain will be released on theaters, and it's planned to have it on cinemas in the US |

Btw, one of the actors told me two weeks ago the movie is still in postproduction, and he doesn't know anything on the release... |

Spanish movies don't go straight to DVD cause the Goverment invest a lot of money in the spanish productions to make those productions able of competing with foreign productions. So at least in Spain we will watch the movie on theaters. The release date for the movie was going to be Halloween or early 2008, but due to the problems of postproduction with one scene with giant fireflies, I guess they are going for January for USA release, march for the Spanish one. I think it's normal, the delay. I mean, Spanish productions do not have important special effects, we have got dramas, or comedies, but our scary movies are veeery simple, and as we don't have complicated effects in our movies, we don't have enough or good enterprises for creating them, so... but let's hope they fix the problem and we can see the movie soon ;) |

This way, the goverment ensure the movie will be released on theater (a theather, for working, must show a certain number per year of spanish movies, that is more or less the same number than the spanis movies made that year (this way they can ensure the numbers of screenings needed in some international contests and thigs like that), and the tv channels ensure the movie will be shown on tv (generally a lot of times). After that, it goes to dvd, but not really soon, here dvd market goes veeery slowly, and the goverment and the channels wouldn't allow the movie goes to dvd without the previous phases... |
