She's playing a religious role, that's what actors do. Just because someone takes a role doesn't mean they believe any of it in real life. Look at all those who loathe the military (alec baldwin)...and there they are, playing a soldier. I wouldn't read too much into the role. It's just another job. If it's a subject that offends you, don't see the movie. I'd just be happy to se anything new from her soon.

Welcome to the club. I can't stand Eva Longoria as well. She has not talent whatsoever, the girl can't act. And she's tanned herself to be the female version of George Hamilton, not sexy AT ALL.

ooh, I love that project ! seems very cool and sarcastic, i'm really not a fan of religion but i like a lot when they use it in a smart teasing way (and yes, Dogma was great!).
So.. a party for Judas and JC.. and a hot Eliza.. I bet she chose JC and Judas couldn't stand it ! (yeah, who can stand to be leave by Eliza, really ?)
I cross my fingers for the UK anyway..

You might be luckier then that. Its a 16 minute film festival short, there is no way to put them in the theater so a lot of times they just release the whole thing on the web. Producers and directors use them to win awards and get noticed and put them in there portfolio.

I'm so relieved this isn't what I thought it'd be. Now I understand why she did this film, probably as favor to Mikey, since she gets him so much other work and all. I still doubt that I'll go all the way down to San Diego to see this, though. 16 minutes of a somewhat religious film with Eliza and Nate isn't worth the four hour drive.

I wonder if this was one of the things that she mentioned was "in the basket" in that interview from the LA Confidential thing. We never did find out what those other two projects were, so perhaps they were short films.

Is the trailer on the website supposed to work? Because it's not doing anything for me other than show some weird green stripes.

I couldnt get the trailer to work either, I think its broken. The directors have to upload the trailers themselves, so maybe he'll fix it sometime....
