Also, since she doesn't do nude scenes and it's a movie about group sex, it would make quite a lot of sense that she didn't play the girlfriend. I know it's possible to film a sex scene without showing nudity but a film with that kind of synopsis usually has nudity as a selling point. The Wedding Crashers and the 40 Years Old Virgin made a lot of money being R-Rated comedies and I would be very surprised if the film didn't try to capitalize on that! I understand her taking smaller but good parts in certain other small films, like City by the Sea and Nobel Son, which have more famous and well respected actors in it, but this other film doesn't have anyone like DeNiro or Alan Rickman. It wouldn't make much sense for Eliza to be in this film if she wasn't the colead. And hey, Macauley Culkin is a way better love interest than say, DJ Qualls. If she can kiss him without vomiting, she can do anything! I like Ben's theory that if Eliza is the wife, then they purposely casted them to not have chemistry. So for those of you better informed in press releases than me, wouldn't it be kind of like illegal for articles to write that Eliza was playing a part she wasn't? I mean, they can't just make stuff up because it seems likely, right? I would hope that they would need some fact to back up their story. And as for nudity in the film, did anyone pay attention to what Culkin said? It's not some porno groupsex flick, he said it deals more with the anticipation and aftermath. I have a feeling that the sex scenes will be limited and it will be all about the emotional effects the group sex has on the characters. Although, if Eliza is the co-lead, I'm hoping for some good, sexy scenes! lol. |

| Member ![]() | Sorry you're disappointed Aphrodite but The Kiss didn't have any big stars either and Eliza just had a supporting role in it. And an Alan Rickman movie isn't as big as it sounds - we all loved the guy in Harry Potter and Die Hard but those films are ten years apart and most people couldn't name five other films he played on. And his part in HP isn't exactly a lead either. He's one of those countless British actors who works mostly in theater but makes some movies for money. So Eliza's career... not exactly on its peak right now! As for Culkin's quote, it says less than it seems. There's a margin between "not porno" and no or very little nudity. It could approach an American Pie film, or the two other flicks I named above. And Keri, I really do think Variety's article was a press release - at least, the form of the article seemed a lot like a press release. The mag is usually reliable and doesn't gossip much. And journalism IS usually an ethical profession... when it doesn't involved showbiz or sports! |

It may be to differing degrees, with showbiz being the extreme, but I guess we'd have to agree to disagree. Variety's article may well have been taken from a press release. I just said they *may* have written the article from a conversation. Publicists pick up the phone all the time to writers without issuing a press release if they want to get a story out. I wasn't implying Variety was gossiping, sorry if that wasn't clear. |

| According to Yahoo Movies, Joanna Miles plays Dr. Wellstone (presumably the therapist) and its filming in Los Angeles. I havn't been able to find any casting sides or breakdowns so far. |

Roles vary from Receptionist to Driver and named characters like Betty (a waitress), Charlie, Sarah, Gale, Mickey and Brian. The casting director is the same one as for Southland Tales ![]() |
