| She looks lovely in the intro! funny how she's always moving almost like she's dancing, I guess it's her ADHD. As for the clip I had the volume up so high and at some point there was a gunshot and it scared the crap out of me Thanks Joe. Waiting for your pic Simon. |

| Member ![]() ![]() | http://www.moviesonline.ca/movienews_16008.html Also I just found this interview with Eliza and Bryan about Nobel Son and upcoming projects. Eliza: I just launched a production company with my brother. It’s called Boston DIY Productions and we have 3 films that we’re about to do, one of which is with Randy and Jody. The first one is going to be a biopic on Robert Mapplethorpe and my brother is going to play Robert and we have an awesome cast and an amazing filmmaker, Ondi Timoner, who did a documentary called Dig! It won at Sundance a few years ago. She has another movie that just got accepted at Sundance. She’s just awesome. So we’re going to do Mapplethorpe. Jody is actually going to direct and they’re going to write this movie we’re doing together. Then I have a big budget, working class Lara Croft crazy studio thing we’re going to do too. Love the sound of that last one! |

I can't wait for the DVD now to rerun the plot through, don't expect any spoilers from me, suffice to say there are multiple plot twists and it will keep you riveted until the closing credits. Although Eliza is not the main character, she uses her screen time well and becomes the catalyst for the action. Some steamy scenes of Eliza and Barkley Michaelson (the kidnapee), and Eliza is certainly the Queen of Demented Woman roles. She looked very fragile and really pulled you into her private madness. Great performance. Be warned, there are some early bloody scenes which you'll understand later in the film. And although it's a crime film, you will laugh at the pompousness of Alan Rickman and his long-suffering wife Mary Steenburgen. Bill Pullman and Danny DeVito also add quirky characters to the film. I enjoyed it and do recommend it highly. One thing that caught my eye in the closing credits was that some of the artwork was supplied by Eliza (among others). Makes me wonder if some of the art in City Hall's flat was really Eliza's. Couple interesting omens - as I walked out of the theatre, there was a Mercedes CLK500 parked out front, same as Eliza's but a different color, with California plates. And I recently ordered a 1:18 model of the CLK500 with the intention of making a diorama with one of the Faith figurines I've collected...it was delivered on my doorstep today, the day the movie opened...weird coincidence! It's the one with the palindrome on it that Bill Pullman's character takes from the apartment to show Mary's character. She went and got an easel and paints and worked on it in her garage. She studied Jody's paintings and went to an exhibit before doing her own. I kept looking for palindromes on the paintings on the wall when I saw the movie today and then it turned out it wasn't even hanging on the wall, haha. |

| Support Dollhouse 2009!! ![]() ![]() ![]() | I love reading the interviews from this movie. From one of them, Eliza does say she has a crush on Bill Pullman, which I find very funny! I haven't seen the movie yet, but I REALLY want to. Weird thing is, I can't find it playing in the theatre near my university here in Berkeley, but it's playing at a theatre 5 mins away from my house in Southern California. How craptastic! |
